I feel like we'll get 5 or 6 when they finally drop. A few more DLC's after that and then we'll get this heist creator. Honestly, this seems pretty plausible to happen.

Heists are never coming. It was a false flag operation to gauge the interest. When they seen there was great interest in heists, they decided to give you a Roosevelt instead. 

 

 

what, just to get everyone riled up? possibly, that would explain the broken bottle weapon taking up space on the wall

 

I feel like we'll get 5 or 6 when they finally drop. A few more DLC's after that and then we'll get this heist creator. Honestly, this seems pretty plausible to happen.

it actually seems that more people would want a 250k$/20kRP heist, and NOT a 1mil/50k heist? and the optional steps seem to be that people like the idea of having to escape throu the subway or by heli or something long back to the safehouse. I think thats where the variation will come in is the escape route and if Heist Creator can have this, then we are going to see a lot of good user created heists. THink about setting up 100 cop cars along the highway and having to get through it going from paleto to downtown LS....

I'm already having nightmares about the R* verified heists and some of the other sh*t people come up with. 

 

but thats why theres voting, so the good rises to the top and gets verified, either by me or rockstar, etc.

 

Because that worked so well with races and deathmatches.

Just because someone is using proper grammar doesn't mean he isn't a troll.

 

It's probably the only reason he hasn't been banned yet. He keeps making everything sarcastic and makes it looks like he's onto something else when he's clearly trolling and playing it safe.

 

It's kind of sad that he goes through so much effort to make pointless threads on the internet to throw people around when he could be doing something positive in his life.

user created content will almost never be half as good as what professional game developers will create. R* making it so when you quick join races or deathmatches you can go to user created garbage has almost completely ruined the quick join mechanic for me. I hate when i really feel like doing a race but dont want to host and invite people and all that, so i quick join and get some stupid race track the host made with ramps everywhere that can throw you off the highway past the turn towards the next checkpoint that is a half mile away. With random crap that you wont see coming so they can gain an advantage by being the only one that knows what is coming. Its just become a how can i get the biggest advantage possible.

Yes, a good portion of user-created content will never be as good as a professional game dev that is working on a team to develop a map and I agree that since there are 10,000 races out there perhaps the matching system needs work. But the whole concept about non-paid MP, free DLC is partially perpetuated by user-created content; if R* had to create every single DM/mission/etc. out there, it would cost too much and would get stale too fast. And as far as the Heist Creator goes, its dissimilar from Races and DMs because it is more co-op, and less competitive. Unless there are versus Heists, another good idea.

Would it make sense to have a double heist? Hit two banks in one heist? Must go in order? Or maybe have to get a vault unlock code from the first to hit the second?

All of the hostility here is not necessary.

I think the prospect of heists being added is pretty likely. However, the complexity of these heists might not correspond to what we are thinking.

There are various small banks, safes in already robbable stores and an array of pawn shops and the like. It is not unlikely that Rockstar can add a couple of interiors and make this kind of thing the aim of heists. In SP, it was assumed that we were working with veteran professionals... this is not so for MP.

I am thinking more along the lines of the prologue heist. That is, entry, people control, taking the loot and escaping. I personally cannot see heists having a very high payload. If it did, three or four heists would mean we could buy anything in the game. What would be the point of cash cards? I dont think we will see more than 100k in total dispersed among team members.

Yes-there are enough small banks to make it interesting AND not too complicated. FLEECA up north, pacific, Maze tower, etc. there would have to be stages and goals, but those can all be preset, part of what is in the poll. so just make preset goals that are already built in (hacking the keypad, for example, opens the vault door, then u just take the cash bags, then get to ur heli on the roof, etc. not at all undoable

yeah, some kind of different levels or meters that calculate how much ur heist u created is worth and money goes up with quicker times or lower for slow times. airport to trveor's like u say, that is a high difficult heist so make it $1m. more if it involves 2 or 3 diff modes of transport (steal the cash, escape in a boat, get in a helicopter, finish up in a stolen tanker,etc.)

What is your opinion on what should/should not be in the Heist Creator?

Let's use this thread for comments, questions and suggestions.

 

What do you think should be configurable?

  • Heist details (name, photo, # of players, time limit, etc.)
  • The total value of the heist, say from $25,000 to $1 million (or $5m?)
  • The placement of money bags throughout the bank
  • The option to require the vault keypad hack (on/off)
  • Cops on or off
  • Guards on or off
  • Traffic on or off
  • Weapons forced or not
  • The particular bank (Pacific Standard, FLEECA, etc.)
  • The safe house location
  • Replay on/off
  • RP value for successful heist
  • Other

Configuring the details of the Heist

 

The basics would probably stay the same, but perhaps that is configurable as well?

  1. Go to the bank
  2. Get to the vault (if there are guards or the alarm is tripped the LSPD would be there)
  3. Hack the keypad
  4. Steal the money
  5. Escape the bank (more LSPD and guards by this time)
  6. Drive to the safe house

What other possible options would there be for this? e.g. you must use a Frogger to escape, cargobob to steal the entire bank vault after you blow the roof off, etc.

 

Thoughts, suggestions, questions? Provide a description of how you would design a heist and how it would play out. I will update the main post as things progress.

well obviously this thread is more relevant than ever with the news today. just thought it would be a good time to really get a good idea of the $$ range and RP range that should be user-defined in Heist Creator.

 

On one side, RP/$$$ in the millions would be good, but it just should probably be adjustable with the difficulty of the Heist that you create in Heist Creator.

heist creator probably is going to have a cap on the amount u can assign to the heists..... but that doesnt mean that u can't do a heist creator playlist with 18x heists, each heist hiting several banks. so 18x5 banks = 90 payouts ---> if average payout is even $500k then we are talking 45,000,000 off the playlist. then say we have to split it with the other dude, that is 22,500,000$$$$

This is how I'd like to see heists implemented, give us an objective and let us run with it, please no holding our hand all the way through missions. An example of a heist (would probably need at least 8 players all mic'd up):

 

A convoy of armoured trucks carrying gold bullion is leaving the union depository. They'll be transferring it to a cargo plane at Sandy Shores Airfield. Once the cargo plane leaves the boundaries of the map they have escaped. And that's all the details you know, you don't know what time they go, or what route they'll take. You have several options for taking the score:

 

You could steal it at the depository.

You can't hit it full on as there's too much security and they'll lock the place down as soon as they're alerted. What you could do is hijack the trucks en route to the depository and sneak the vans away, and transfer the gold yourself. You'll need your own heavy lift vehicles that are untraceable, either freshly stolen or bought and the plates changed (could need someone on the team to have the iFruit app for this). Spotters to find the trucks en route, could be snipers on buildings or helicopters. IDs for the truck drivers to get past security. Lester can arrange this. As soon as the trucks deviate from their scheduled GPS route the cops will be alerted and one 5 star level wave will be dispatched every 5 minutes, so you'll need muscle to hold them off while you unload and escape. It will take 5 minutes per person per truck to unload the gold once you've blown the bloody doors off, then you must get to Lester's warehouse without bringing any heat to it.

 

You could hit them en route.

The trucks will be escorted by a heavy police presence including SUVs, cars and choppers, so you'll need a heavily armed crew to take it down. You'll need spotters to determine which route they'll take, and then you have to get your ambush team in position. Once again successive waves of police will be dispatched once the alert has gone out.

 

Hit the airfield.

There will be a receiving team at the airfield to oversee security for the plane transfer. You could either hit them before the trucks arrive, or wait until they start unloading and do it then. The convoy will check in with the receiving team while en route however, so you would have to identify the guy who communicates with them and take him out before he alerts the convoy, in which case they would abort and flee back to the depository. Once you've taken him out you'd have to pick up his walkie talkie in time for their check in to give the all clear for proceeding or again they'll abort. Once the convoy arrives and they realise it's a trap you'll have another battle on your hands, but you could avoid this by all wearing cop outfits previously acquired.

 

Take down the plane.

The plane will be escorted by two Lazers dispatched from Fort Zancudo once it has been cleared for take off, and they will use deadly force on any unauthorised aircraft in their airspace, so you'll need to take them out or distract them enough to succeed. Once you've shot the plane down you'll have to recover the gold, be it from land or sea, and get it back to Lester, but the cops ain't gonna just let you walk away with it, they'll know where it crashed and they'll want to recover it just as much as you.

 

So yeah, basically make them super tough, requiring good teamwork and coordination, and open ended so you can replay them several different ways. Here's hoping.

these are some good ideas.... I always thought HC (Heist Creator) would allow this level of freedom, too. Meaning, it's not just rob a bank and get away. Nor is the one-off style in SP, it would be hard to allow the creation of every single element like the jewelry store, A/C vents, gassing the patrons, etc.

However, somewhere in between is a medium-complexity heist where the to and the from is part of the action, like you said hitting them in multiple locations, not just the bank. and getting away either a long haul up north or something that requires air/sea and/or land, etc. tunnels, subway, trains, busses, cars, helis, etc. you could require that type of thing and the route would be heavily guarded.

The way you've presented it makes it seem like a terrible idea. People would just abuse the sh*t out of it. Heists with no enemy resistance and high payouts would be all you could find, which completely defeats the purpose of heisting (<--doesn't even seem like a real word even though it is)
