Am I the only one who does these missions by suicide? If you just land the cargobob outside the base and die then the people in the buzzard can lose their stars and the cargobob won't be shot to hell. Whenever I message people they just don't get it, even higher levels who I'm sure have done these missions before and should know better than to ditch the bob. Is there a better way to lose the stars? A bridge to fly under or something? I guess I just need to buy a headset but I'm a curmudgeoned ol' miser.

No idea as I've never been online. But as it seems...you need a microphone!

I've landed it outside and got a ride in a buzzard before. Much easeir to lose stars that way. Then just come back for it.

Just land it on the hills next to the base-entrance (the one with the bridge) and wait. No chopper will follow you, and no jeeps will find you.

EDIT: Here's a map.

Red = Routes into the base.

Yellow circle = Cargobob

Yellow X = Location to wait for stars to disappear.

Docks and stocks sounds like a cool mission, but it doesn't appear on the list of jobs in my start menu? Any idea why? I'm level 79 so it should be there, shouldn't it?

i do this. but then realise that the other guy got in the other cargobob meaning i have to wait for ages while he attempts, and fails, to lose the cops.

I dont it just goes against my principles especially if I have teammates to help. It is the easiest and fastest way though and I have done it when going solo but its just not right. ;)

The high priority case building is perfect for losing 4 or 5 stars just park up there and go to the second level and hide for a minute.

Also you only have to trigger the cargobob event after that you can ditch it for a buzzard and call your own cargobob from peg if u hAve it.

Also using a cargobob on chopper tail and stick up the stickup crew is really a must.

I usually get the Cargobob from base, kill myself and call one from Pegasus.

Just follow the the map I posted earlier ^^

No team-life lost and loose the 4 stars within a minute. All while the Cargobob only get shot at a couple of times - no smoking wreck...

I hate these types of missions. Why can't I just call my own Cargobob? It would be much easier.

owning your own bob isnt supposed to be There..
so for everyone else are these missions hard as it can be and does the helping teammates need communication :-)
that's why i like post nr.3 :-)

Fly out of the base up the river and take the Bob out over the ocean, if the Buzzard gets the first couple of choppers none will follow you and your heading to the objective instead of wasting time sitting on the mountain or hovering at 40,000 feet.

The mission fails when everyone doesn't go in at the same time, even though everyone starts out less than a mile from the fence and you can all get in one car and be there in a few seconds. I've seen people call Meryweather for a ride, drive back down the hwy and jump the fence landing at the opposite end of the runway or try the back of fort "down the mountain" jump that usually takes a couple of tries and still puts them a long ways away from Bob.

Jump the fence by the east gate and drive to Bob, you'll get there before you have a wanted level and cops wont trigger until your over the fence.

Suicide should be avoided as you might need those lives getting the container out from under the bridge.

It may cost me $1000, but I always call the Merryweather pickup.  Take the chopper myself. and land right next to the Cargobob.  I then take the Bob, and head straight up.  Nudging slightly forward so I'm just outside of the base.  Once you get a decent height, the cops will be in search mode, yet there'll be no chopper spawning.  Wait a couple mins to clear the wanted level, and then proceed to objective.  I can usually do American Exports in about 10mins solo.

Why do you not own a car? Breaking into Zancudo is the first thing GTA'ers usually learn to do, it's like walking.

What a friend and I used to do was have one guy stay outside Zancudo, have the other go get the 'bob and land at the end of the bridge. Waiting player takes the 'bob while the wanted player takes the waiting car and loses the cops. Then I read somewhere here about flying straight up and hovering in place until wanted stars drop, worked that way for a while. Now we both steal one (except American Exports, I take a tank to the compound and clear it before the chopper gets there) and both fly up high enough to nose dive away from incoming choppers. Takes about 15 seconds to get as high as the chopper will go, then you can get enough speed in a dive to clear Vinewood and if you don't lose them doing that, land on the Maze building and hide in the equipment house on top. The dive works 9 out of 10 times if you do it right, and you lose the wanted level just before lining up a flyby on the compound.

American Exports & Docks to Stock 2 (is this disabled? ), breach base, get in Bob de Cargo, get out, get in Buzzard, fly away, call Pegasus for Bob de Cargo & viola.

I have Docks to Stock 2 in my mission list but there will be an error when I try to host. :/ must be disabled for some reason.

not everyone has a "bob de cargo" Cargobob in the pegasuslist..
as a matter of fact.. no one could have 1 unless glitch ingame browser...

But if you have a decent level? the airport spawns cargobobs as well...

Not during missions

The hwy road is only useful if your coming south from Paleto bay,  the jump in back is so far out of the way and probably hardest I dont when anyone would use that. Th green line is right on your way and puts you next to a Bob before you get stars.

If you've somehow missed the easiest way in to the base then go check it out

Not during missions they don't

If the aircraft is in the mission itself it will not spawn elsewhere

What my friend and i do we call Merryweather and we park the helo over the cargobob and one of us jump for the cargobob usually me and they grab the buzzard and they provide air cover while i fly out and over the ocean we usually get the wanted stars off of us in a matter of minutes and just as i get to the waypoint.

Whatever you do don't fly over roads because if the police on the ground can see you, you won't loose your stars

You could just fly the cargobob straight up in the air from the base, move a little bit forward so you're not over the marsh land and you're not over the base. Heli's don't come so it's real easy. Always lose them within 30 seconds of getting it.

I used to farm Docks to Stock 1 & 2 and American Exports solo using this method. That was before we could pick what mission we want to do.

I love doing missions in the more obviously intended way. That's a Bob running away and the Buzzard(s) providing cover. Just think it's more fun that way. I imagine it's a pain to make it work with randoms though, so always nice to hear these alternative strategis.

I like to use the tallest building in LS, right next door. Land on top, drop down a level and hide in the alcove.

My method is just to fly the Cargobob towards the pickup, land on a hilltop on the way, and then snipe/RPG the helicopters down from there.  Police cars won't find you in time and you can lose your stars.

The hiding methods probably work better, and cost you no ammo, but I like blowing things up.
