I was re-playing the mission and when i failed to save Franklin after saving Jimmy,Michael parked at the side of the road and this is the dialogue (Not exact,I don't remember it very good):

Jimmy:(He said something like)Don't be a total Butt Hurt (Or something like that)

Michael:Listen you little sh*t,that kid jumped of that hood to save you and now he's gone along with my boat.

And then it said "Mission Failed"Michael didn't save everyone or everyone on time.

I will replay it again and see if i can get a picture.

I've never failed this mission, but for the sake of curiosity, I find this interesting.

When they go the extra mile to make the player realize the magnitude of their failure, it either adds to the "immersion" or the frustration. Some missions just fail instantly, while others do go that extra mile, and I think it's to be appreciated.

In Max Payne 3, dying is pretty graphic. Seeing a hole through Max's head is infuriating but gives the player all the more inspiration to get it right the next time. There are also instances in that game where if the player doesn't do something in time, the mission will fail and  a cutscene follows. Looking back, while not in the heat of the moment, it's a nice touch.

Nice job making your GTA: O character resemble Max, though I choose to believe he's already walked off into sunset at opposed to causing chaos in the streets of LS.  ;)

Me neither.I just wanted to see what would happen.I failed it on purpose twice because the second time I wanted to know that i wasn't dreaming!

P.S.

To get this ending after saving Jimmy drive along the truck without saving Franklin and wait 'til Michael pulls over on the side of the road.

GTA IV and EFLC had a lot of these little mission failure cutscenes. Ones I remember are Packie refusing to accept the money from Three Leaf Clover if you kill all of the hostages, Mori telling Luis that Brucie was a wimp if Brucie dies on a mission, Packie freaking out about Gracie's neck being broken in the trunk of the car and telling Niko he has to control his anger (I actually got this cutscene when I first played because I crashed the car too much, for a second I thought it was actually meant to happen!), and many more. I'm gonna play through GTA IV and EFLC again sometime just to try and see them all, since I remember some being quite funny.

I don't think GTA V had nearly as many, though. I know Michael smashes Franklin in the head with the gun if you drive around too long and don't take him to Simeon's dealership. And this also happens if you're seen by Amanda and her tennis coach.

In By the Book, when you will cause Mr. K's heart to stop and do nothing about it, there will be a mission failed cutscene.

Someone should make a collection of all mission failed cutscenes... including side missions if they have them too.

Haha.

Maybe you get different mission failure cutscenes in this mission depending on which member of Michael's family you're alerting.

Yeah, you do! Tracy freaks out, and Jimmy jumps out of bed and starts yelling for his dad.

I don't get why the car breaks down.

It's scripted to eventually break down no matter what you do. Cars just f*ck up sometimes.

Nope.

If Franklin dies, you will get the cutscene and "Mission Failed" screen when the cutscene ends.

Anyone found the ending fail cutscene to By the Book(The torture scene) where you don't stick the syringe in Ferdinand and let him die?

I wanted to see the fail cutscene for "By the book" and Steve's and Trevor's conversation is the following:

(Not excatct ,bad memory)

After Mr.K's heart stops.

Steve:You are a moron.

Trevor:I'm a moron? I spet a few hours torturing this innocent man.(can't remember the rest)

And then Steve says something about Trevor's racket's going down.

I believe there is one if you fail to leave the jewelry store in time in the Jewelry Store Heist. Michael will walk out of the doors automatically and the police will be waiting there to arrest him.
