Why Aren't All Cars Available to Buy?

R* could make sure that all "premium" (not able to steal and own) vehicles are on Legendary Motorsport.
The "non-premium" vehicles could be bought or stolen off the street to own.

Which ones aren't?

In order to differentiate which are non-premium, Legendary Motorsport would ONLY have premium vehciles.

No. Fewer cars should be available for purchase in Grand THEFT Auto.

I actually think this is a good idea,, tired of looking for that specific vehicle when I can just buy it..
My whole garage is even full with bought vehicles so that if I want to sell them, I can still make a tiny profit.

But you can still steal them...
Ok, really my problem is in that stupid tracker crap. Claude, Tommy and CJ never had to buy an Infernus or Banshee. They just grabbed it maybe had a police chase then stored it and it was theirs. The tracker is BS, it's not integrated into the frame, it can be removed/replaced just like it was installed. Perhaps there needs to be a black market garage that can turn over a high end car for you. A residential garage, barn or derelict warehouse could be used as a storage spot to hold hot cars for up to an in-game week before you can get them back and mod them. Surely there's not enough patience in the community for that though.
I stand by my previous statement with a slight modification. More cars should be able to be obtained illicitly, even if that means some roundabout ways of acquisition. having them available for convenient purchase is fine but being made to buy any car directly contradicts the name of the game.

I agree, it's called Grand Theft Auto, For months I would never purchase a vehicle I could steal. Then R* cut the resale to $10k and I learned to do the glitch.
I'd get rid of all car sales except the "too hot to modify"

Nah, I don't think all cars should be available to buy, this is GTA after all.
Actual car dealerships with interiors, that can spawn a selection of cars, that we could break into and steal would be nice though. Kind of like Sunshine Autos in Vice City. There's already 2-3 dealerships that I can think of in the game already, just lacking any ability to do stuff with them.

Or a trailer loaded with high end cars that spawns in a similar way to HPV and Armored Trucks.

Or something like a HPV mixed with a crate drop. "Premium free car" comes up on the radar, first one to get it, out run the police and get it to it's garage gets to keep it. However, it would be unisnsurable until you did a mission where you must capture the owner and get them to sign the car over to you, then you either let them go or kill them.
Might work, if as a "regular" drop you might get a Banshee, Bullet, Feltzer, and as a "special" drop you might get a Turismo, Cheetah, Entity etc

To me it's fine, and you might as well take it all the way to include all non-premium cars.
You can play Grand Theft DriveAroundForHoursLookingForaCar and I can play BuytheCarAndHaveMoreTimeForFun

Every civilian vehicle should be available to buy through a website.
R* could make sure that all "premium" (not able to steal and own) vehicles are on Legendary Motorsport.
The "non-premium" vehicles could be bought or stolen off the street to own.
This is Grand THEFT Auto
not Grand BUY Auto

That's true but the world is so open to almost living an actual life. Why not be able to go to a dealer. Buy the car or have the option to rob him for the keys, or during a 'test drive'. Lol

I like robbing the car during a test drive Idea. I wanna steal so many cars from simeon to pay him back for his low payouts and being a snitch and alerting the cops when I steal a vehicle he wants

"Bank robberies? But it's called Grand Theft AUTO!"
"Buying clothes/car mods/weapons/apartments? But it's called Grand THEFT Auto!"
How would it bother you if the OPTION to by every car was on a website?

Cash cards
Actually if they wanted to make more off Cash Cards then they would offer them all for sale in the store. Otherwise you just steal them off the street for free and then you wouldn't need a Cash Card.
I think you're right though. Would be nice to have access to any car or the option to purchase.

Future content releases, it allows them to give us "new content" without providing "new content", probably to bolster the DLCs.
