Rival gangs

I reckon everyone remember that in previous GTA-games rival gangs would attack each others upon sight.

 

Is there any way to code so that gangs in GTA IV attack rival gangs if they spot them?

if u make a gangster ped hate a certain relationshipgroup, they will attack when that ped is within range... 3 ways u can do...

 

if you do not script... edit the dat file corresponding to ped's and their relationship with others, ive never done it so u have to dig around the common/data folder i would assume

gangsterPed.ChangeRelationship(RelationshipGroup.Player, Relationship.Hate);//will attack player on sight, unless permanent events are blocked then this will not happen
gangsterPed.BlockPermanentEvents = false;//now they will for sure attack peds they hate within their range

SetCharRelationship(&gangsterPed, 5u, 0u);
SetBockingOfNonTemporaryEvents(&gangsterPed, false);

Rel Groups values if ur using c++

I'm not confident with scripting for GTA IV, as a matter of fact, I played the game for the first time on PC yesterday. Do you know if anyone have done something like this?

yeah just search mod web sites for scripts related to gangs maybe, i have written some stuff using this, i just uploaded a braveheart battle mod that uses this idea
