But you don't need to believe real-world testing or the vehicles' stats, just pick a Rockstar-made track and post your best lap in the Sultan, then cry while a bunch of guys beat it in their Exemplars.

This would definitely happen.
I'm going to have to go a get another Sultan now just to prove this point... Of course if will then be "you can't drive the Sultan properly..." Etc :)

Edit: Ok, after finding and modding a Sultan (took a while) and running two laps on Cutting Coroners with both it and the Exemplar my flying laps on both were almost exactly 1:00 on the dot. It's late and I'm knackered so will try harder and do a few more laps to get a better time tomorrow but it's definitely close, the Sultan understeers a lot while the Exemplar oversteers a fair amount but aside from that not much in it.

Okay, perhaps this discussion should have its own thread rather than hijacking this one but anyway -

I did 6 laps of Cutting Coroners this morning in the three fastest four door cars and my best lap times are as follows (not as good as Broughy above, tend to hit the brakes a little more):

Exemplar: 59.769

Sultan: 59.703

Franklin's Buffalo: 1:00.943

So while it's very close the Sultan edged it, a better driver could certainly get better times, the Sultan drives a lot like the Elegy (which I don't get on with), the Exemplar is much sharper to drive with some oversteer which I prefer even if I can't lap as fast in it! The Sultan was also a lot more consistent for me with most lap times very close.

I think Broughy should probably try a fully modded one vs the Exemplar for his vids to see which really is the fastest four door in the hands of a more competent driver! :)

2000m race because I got depressed when Entity did better than the adder LOL

Entity

41.435

41.404
41.490
41.592
41.451
41.397

AVG: 41.462

Adder:

40.884
40.896
41.001

AVG: 41.032

Conclusion: Difference in the 1000m race is 0.169 and for the 2000m race difference was 0.430

Other thoughts: I wonder why my times are slower than yours. Maybe it's because I use offroad tires?

Lol but I call b.s on your list either way.. There's no way an infernus is faster than the adder.

I use to race with that thing back in the day and sure it's got nice accell.. But everyone passed me left and right LOL

That's your punishment for using such ugly tires on supercars lol, oh and for owning an adder too :p

I did this tests myself with my own Infernus (and I trust my results more than someone else's, I wasn't drunk either no) and I did it several times, 23.002 is the best time I got with it, so... sorry, I have no reason to lie about it.

25.203 stock Akuma

22.961 upgraded Akuma 'got this time 3 times' I don't think it can do it any faster?

*full throttle start* no boost.

With tucking. Which is something that has to be done on a bike. It would be like testing the cars with the throttle half way.

The thing is, the Bati can't keep up at the start. However the Akuma is only faster in its 1-2 gear. In races however you won't be standing all still every turn. And in the end the Bati gains speed. However because of the distance between the two at the start, it just cannot close the cap here.

In races it however most of the time its over its 2nd gear, and thats where it closes in on the Akuma again.

Double t 'upgraded' with tucking fastest time: 24.064
Ruffian upgraded: 24.644
PCJ 600 27.002

Plus it seems that people either don't know, or don't want to realize that when you wheelie on the Bati it becomes exponentially faster.

True. A lot faster.

Anyone have a link to the 2000m race?

I just made it in the northeast, took my best guess for the straightest I could find.

I only brought up the tires to see if you knew your stuff (Tires don't affect the cars performance =P)

I have no reason to lie either =\.

I haven't played in a while either, so my driving skill stat is low. Anyone know if that affects a drag race? lol

Had the exemplar down to a 58.4 using non-optimal "testing" lines. Could probably hit a low 57 taking optimal lines. Sultan couldn't dip into that 58 range using the same non-optimal lines.

Well, .62 miles/1000m is the smallest straight track you can make in content creator

Wasn't knocking your track, just offering one measured in miles.  I also have one I'm tweaking that runs 5 miles of "straight" road for testing top speed.

I'd take this guys times with a grain of salt. Rather than taking the average time, he's taking the BEST time. I don't know what happened with the infernus but there has to be some kind of mix up. Either he read the time wrong or something..

Either way, if he took the average time instead of the fastest time. One would see the infernus is slow 99% of the time lol.. Just saying

cool stats, would love to see the new cars from update on here, im an entity lover and never strayed but with the lambo car ive been collecting dust on my entity, i personally think the lambo is as good as adder with more control of course and faster then entity but little less control, to me its a perfect balance between the two.

Yeah I know. I spent my time re-arranging my garages >_< took forever

I'm gonna do this by tomorrow with my new cars and get some other as well, from the update I got the Zentorno and Massacro at the moment. I will perform personal tests on these in addition.

Zentorno 1000m

1. 22.614
2. 22.690
3. 22.756
4. 22.449

I think it's the fastest now.
Avg time: 22.627

Huntley S 1000m

1. 26.822

2. 26.840

3. 26.794

4. 26.811

Avg time: 26.817

Almost as fast as Baller, but I had to slightly turn on every try so it might be faster. Better handling than Baller imho.

Same here, finally 20 cars available, now back and forth between garages so their in the right place. :)

What was the entity?

Entity XF - 22.807 *

Infernus - 23.002

Turismo R - 23.104

Adder - 23.205 *

Cheetah - 23.908

Vacca - 24.692 *

Voltic - 24.881 *

My worst time with Zentorno still beat the Entity.

NOTE :

Updated the track to allow all new vehicles, and ran some tests.
Updated the first post of this thread, check it for references.

Added stock times of the Zentorno (#2 now), the Massacro (#1 now), the Huntley S (#1 now) and the Thrust (#2 now)

Added upgraded times of some of my new cars, Massacro (#1), Stinger, Tornado (clean, hardtop), Rebel (clean), Picador.

Zentorno and Huntley S were added yesterday.

We're missing the Thrust fully upgraded. And for anyone who would test it, remember, full throttle start, no wheeling or tucking on bikes.

Hi, i saw you where missing a couple of cars that i have. Did 5 runs for each the way you mentioned to do + an average. They are all fully modded i'm lvl120+

Thanks for the work, great thread!

Here they are:

Duneloader:

1) 32.410

2) 32.692

3) 32.268

4) 32.668

5) 32.928

Average: 32.593

Voodoo:

1) 31.677

2) 31.409

3) 31.599

4) 31.444

5) 31.165

Average: 31.4588

Did one with turbo to eliminate most of the wheelspin, cause it hase some. And it did 29.869

Manana:

1) 31.791

2) 31.749

3) 31.955

4) 31.755

5) 32.021

Average: 31.854

Also one with turbo: 29.915

Because i have one  for getting groceries, the beach and trashing it up , the Faggio:

1) 43.007

2) 42.476 (leaning forward)

3) 33.225 (pulling wheelies and going from left to right :pp, could have been faster)

Also tried the Z-type since they nerfed it with 1.13, it is fully modded! Only did it once, just couldn't watch it.

1)28.649

Funny discussion about the sultan vs exemplar thing, i have them both since the first month of GTAO. I really like them both, they have just a different driving style, i love the sultan for trashing, silly handbrake stuff and rallying and the exemplar for its controllability and feel use it more to drive friends in and it looks more gentleman style. The sultan also has great traction on Mt Chilliad. I appreciate them both evenly, and they will stay in my car collection.

Grtz
