San Fierro

GTA IV's Liberty City is my favourite so far - most detailed, lively city with the best atmosphere.

Second would be SA's Los Santos, followed by Liberty City (GTAIII), Vice City, San Fierro, Las Venturas, Liberty City (CTW), GTA 2's, and finally LC, SA and VC from the original GTA.

I'll reserve my judgment of V's Los Santos for when the damn game finally arrives for pc

Both III and IV Liberty City. That said however, I'm sure when we finally get a fully fleshed out San Fierro in the HD era that will take the cake for me.

San Andreas was a city only in GTA 1.

Liberty City in the HD era. Nothing can beat it's charm, architecture, and asshole populace. Los Santos from the HD era and San Fierro are pretty nice, too.

Liberty City in both the 3D and HD era. There's something about the grit and grime mixed with a little bit of glow that appeals to me. Los Santos in V comes in second solely because of the phenomenal sunsets.

Hands down it'll be Liberty City both HD and 3D Era.

I love the dark, gritty atmosphere and going through the alleyways at night can seem frightening.

Yes, of course. I choose Los Santos in GTA V and the second is Liberty City in GTA IV

Im not even sure if Cottonmouth would count. Sure it probably exists in the GTA Universe but I think the point of the topic is to state your favorite GTA city.
