While making videos with the Cargobob lifting boats, I by chance discovered that you can stear the bow up and down with the stick the same way you can do wheelies with a motor bike while jumping over waves or other boats. Stick up = bow up, stick down = bow down.

I hope, that was not mentioned before to often, I myself haven´t heard of it before.

I noticed this too, when I was getting boats a month back or so for my Marina Dock, everytime a wave came, I held the joystick back and it did a "wheelie" and I went faster and flew over the wave a lot smoother.  It goes quicker when you drive like that.

Yeah. Wasn't that feature in past GTAs too? I didn't think much of it, I always use it.

^^^^ I never realized that, tbh.  Until GTA V about a month ago.

I rarely use the boats I have stored, I gotta explore the ocean some in GTA V!

I've never understood, does tilting the boat back make it quicker or is it like motorbikes where tilting it forwards makes it faster?

I'd assume pushing forward makes it go faster, BUT waves slow it down.  So when a wave comes...As they do every few seconds since it's scripted to do this, you should pull back as if you're doing a "wheelie" on a motorcycle and it'll go over the wave a lot smoother and a bit faster.

I always pushed the stick up, force of habit from driving/running I guess.

Excellent find.

I knew this since release. Raising the bow increases top speed. Funniest thing doing online boat races and going faster than the guy next to you in the same boat lol. Reaction is priceless.

Same here, just as with the cars :)
