5 months is a pretty long time...

For those suffering from the instant gratification disease, maybe...

To people living real lives, 5 months is NOTHING.

*sigh* a lot of assholes on here today...

I know how you feel OP.

R* probably didn't expect us to reach the "maximum" rank before they released the DLC they have mentioned a while back.

from day one, GTA:O and GTA V in general, was a let down. they left it unfinished.

like I said before they game came out. the mile high club is symbolic the progression of the game, which has so far, made no progress.

As someone said before me,

"don't let the door hit you on your way back in."

Are you totally 10000% sure that's the word you are looking for?

Yes, that's the word. The correct terminology is "on your way out" so he meant to say "way back into GTA".

GTA online will always be a work in progress.  That's good.  They make new material from the data they get from us playing it.  Therefore, content will be catered to what people are playing in the game.  I'd rather have that then them wadding up a ball of poo, throwing it at the wall, and hoping it sticks.  That's what the Beach Bum DLC was with the 40 new jobs as well as the launch content.  They looked at how the poo slid down the wall in order to make poo balls that stick better with us in the future.  That's not too shabby of them.

Meh, Rockstars still pretty up there on my list of consistent developers. Sure, they can take their time, but they are there.

Hell, how much later did TBOGT come out after GTA IV. I feel GTAO is getting a similar treatment.

It's natural to want more, considering how GTAO turned out.

Seriously, what did we get in the past 5 months?

- Broken Bottles

- Content Creator that isn't even finished

- Tommy Gun & whatnot

This isn't anything to hold you over even when you combine it all together. They also add in half-assed races from the community, the promised ''500'' missions are still not there.

But R*'s logic is that races and deathmatches count as missions, of course.

Just look at how much money they made solely off of this game, patch certifications is probably no money to them, so it's not that they CAN'T add in new things, they just don't want to and are lazy. It's the first reason that comes to mind.

It's not instant-gratification or any of that nonsense, it's natural to be bored of something that barely adds to the experience.

I'm really well beyond over reading this constant immature droning about R* selling out and corporate and investers bullsh*t. It is a gaming company. Who started this naive line of thought that R* is any different from other developers and why do you delusional sheep persist in perpetuating it? They are not some sort of holy gamer do gooder entity that is out to rub gamers bellys and tell them everything is okay and they love them and will do whatever their gaming hearts desire. R* are a business catering to target consumers and just happen to make entertaining products while doing so. For all the creative minds behind GTA there is a select few who give a rats ass about that and are motivated purely by profit. That is the nature of capitalism, if you didn't realize this you are either very young, in denial or are extremely naive. Wake up copper-tops.

None of this would matter if the matchmaking wasn't so damn bad. That's my main problem with the game, in all the world, I can rarely find people to f*cking play it with. And I'm not talking about spawn killing in free mode, which is all fm is.

Boredom is the battle cry of the know nothing, do nothing, self entitled tweens of today.

Get out and f*cking DO SOMETHING constructive instead of sitting on your ass complaining that someone else is "lazy".

You have ZERO idea of the real world and what its about.

I love the "I'm done and never playing this game again" people.   Funny how it seems they're always the first in line to download whatever next update from Rockstar though.

I love when people say a post is too long, and it was a waste of time to write out because nobody will give a sh*t.

SmokeDat: To people living real lives, 5 months is NOTHING.

And yet to most here 3-5 minutes to read the post is their entire life, so pathetic. I have always hated this community, a bunch of children who have a decent vocabulary and so they throw it around like they own the place to compensate for the fact they have no real place in life.

Well, I read the post, I found it to be fair, you know, being here and all... a post about GTA on a GTA forum, who would have guessed?

lol... I swear, I could write a semi-intelligent thread (cause dats about the best I can do) here and then easily write all the replies to it before anyone even posts a reply. I mean sh******t it's always same same smart ass crap over and over. Yea, ok, I get it... ya don't care what the OP had to say. But really? Who takes the time to write some snarky BS reply? Over and over and over... I am gonna write a program that is just full of the usual sh*t people spout here and sell it to ya'll (better than shark cards right?). Then you can just hit a button to have it fill in the reply box for ya.

Anyway OP, have fun out there man. As much as I enjoy GTA, there's always other games to be played. I had some 800hrs into BF3, but still wandered off for a few months at a time. I have some 350+ in BF4, still wandered over here a few months back. It's the nature of the beast.

Me? Still enjoying it, (300+hrs in?) but it's probably more about the peeps I am playing with than it is the game itself. Fortunately I don't get into achievements nor am I waiting upon baited breath for heists etc. I do feel ya tho. I went back to BF4 on the weekend as there were some new maps out (SA)... and it was kind of a let down as I wasn't all that thrilled with it.

The great part is that many of the games I've been playing the last 6 months (NHL, BF4, GTA) have peeps that I play with on them all... again, it's more about the crowd I play with, than the games themselves. We just keep moving along having fun on new offerings.

Take care sir.... I shall gladly hold the door so it don't hit ya on the backside, unlike some of the other unruly crowd that have little better to do than spew vitriol.

"In my 5 months of play I never participated in an online heist, I have not played any DLC for single player, I never invested in the stock market or gambled at the casino or purchased investment properties in GTAO."
you clearly are lying non of these things are in online so you cant have played online at all.

That was his point! These are the things that R* promised and actually have in the trailer and have them as bulleted features. That was his whole point was the very things R* said that you will be able to do are not the things in online. R* should not have launched listing them as "Box Features" when they weren't even close to ready.

hey op, nobody cares

and that is why corporations, specifically gaming companies are getting away with more bullcrap every year.  Their laziness and mediocrity gets worse and worse because we the game buying public are accepting sliding standards

thank you for pointing that out so succinctly.

Bye.

I'm nearly 190 online with everything I want and i'm still playing. I've beaten single player 5 times and i'm still seeing and hearing new things on my 6th playthrough. Some people can still find fun in it, (Me, after joining a wild ass crew) some can't. Some people can wait for better content, others want what they want right now, and still complain about it. Some people think it's the hottest game out still, some think R* screwed up. You even have morons who get on this forum to whine, bitch moan and complain about every single mistake in this game, and have the nerve to call it boring and garbage, but these people still play it day in, day out.

Good things come to those who can wait for them; i'll wait. Came this far, why stop now?

Take care, though.

Have you taken a look at some of these "customers" now days?

The majority of them are useless mongos who's only redeeming value is the collective revenue they contribute towards game development.

The slim percentage of older, loyal fans of the series would not be enough to bankroll this thing. Not anymore.

Grand Theft Auto used to be the garage band of game development. Now it's just another merger company with mainstream bosses. It is what is.

They never said anything about when these would be released so saying it's in the trailer is pretty meaningless.  They also said that the GTA O world was continually updating - clearly referring to updates and DLC.  At no stage did they say everything would be handed on a plate to us at once.    They never listed anything as "Box Features".

Time is flying in RL, the game is fun and if you're not playing anymore, thats your problem OP.

I still have plenty of fun with it

I usually spend five months playing a game I don't like for achievements too, OP. It's a valid way to live your life, and not tragic in the least. :bored:
