As the title says, I need help on running GTA SA on windows 8. I double click the game, and after a few seconds a screen pops up saying "Grand Theft Auto SA requires at least DirectX Version 9.0". I have DirectX 11.

If needed here are my specs. (I can run the game by the way) It's a laptop, I know it sucks.

CPU: AMD A6-5350M APU @ 2.9 GHz( Turbo boost to 3.45 GHz)

RAM: 4

OS:Windows 8

Video Card:AMD Radeon HD 8450G

VIDEO RAM: 768

THANKS ALL!

I'm not sure if Windows 8 has this, but did you try compatibility mode for Windows XP?

Installed and playing with the DVD in the Drive?

Installed with Administrative Privileges?

Installed to the C:/ drive?

Tried XP (sp3) Mode? (or if mouse problems occur try Win98 Mode.)

I downloaded the game.

To install with administrative privileges, do i right click, then run as administrator?

I did install to the C:/ drive.

I have not tried that mode. I will try after the installer is done

I think that it does.

A right click should allow for both the selection of Mode and Admin Privileges.

Which site did you purchase your download, and Is it registered with STEAM?

Well that could be the problem.

If you buy the real game it should work.

In the mean time we cannot spend any more time assisting a Pirate gamer.

Check with your vendor for help with their game.
