I struggle to post this. As any kid who grew up in the 80s/early 90s should. I struggle to put into words the impact that Ghostbusters had on me as a person. It was a good movie, but it was also unique in that it was horror, and comedy, and mystery all wrapped in one. I must've watched it a hundred times, easy. I was very young, but it was definitely the first movie I really appreciated and made me into the film fan I am today.

Rest in Peace

Damn it I really liked this guy.  Such a pity to see all these actors from my youth kicking the bucket.

RIP Egon Spengler.

I guess he looked at the trap, Ray. Now he's collecting spores, molds and fungus in a better place.

It was one of my favorite childhood movies as well. I loved the movie so much that one of my favorite childhood toys was the Ghostbusters car. I wanted it for what I thought was a long time (because time passes more slowly the younger you are for some reason) and when I finally got it, it was as a surprise present for no reason. I was the happiest kid in the world. Damn, it's so sad to see him go.

Damn that picture's had more effect on me emotionally than any piece of art I've seen in a long time.

It'd be a disservice if I didn't mention his other great works most notably Caddyshack and National Lampoon's Vacation. Movies that have stood the test of time, and have become classics.

Groundhog Day holds a special place in many people's hearts. And has introduced and defined a trope imitated by made for television movies and sitcoms alike. It's also turned into a common phrase. When there is a bad situation going on over days and days, you might say, it's a "Groundhog Day" situation.

So many cool people have died in the last 5 years. sucks. Harold Ramis is a childhood hero of mine. I LOVE ghostbusters.
GB3 was hardly ever gonna happen anyway so this doesn't change much in that respect, it's been on the cards since 1989 and it still hasn't been made.

RIP Harold Ramis

Legend.

OP, like your character user Icon, Steve Martin classic comic scene.

What can blow your mind is that had he not died, John Belushi was to star in Ghostbusters. Along with Harold Ramis, don't forget his serious comic tinged cameo of sorts in As Good As it Gets.

I will certainly miss him. Modern Comic Legend again passes from our mortal World
