I'm looking to trade wins to unlock the matte paintjobs. Every time I host a race everyone rejects the invites. Are sea races a pain to do or something?

I enjoy them. The triple cash weekend kinda got me into them, didn't enjoy them much before that.

Even with the 3x cash tho it was hard to find people to race against that weekend, so I don't think water races are very popular, no.

I love sea races very enjoyable, I've experienced this problem where I have been waiting over 15 minutes at time with no one turning up, I guess people don't like to get wet.

I only did them when they were coming up on joining a random race on the triple cash weekend.

I did a couple but found them very boring compared to car races.

I won't bother doing any more as I unlocked the colours that weekend

I did one on the valentine's special weekend and I got 40k, they are very enjoyable but it's quite a shame that not many people choose to play them.

There would probably be more love for them if you could own and modify the craft

I think they're unpopular because the crappy drivers can't win as easily by crashing into other players.

I love them.
And i'm surprised that so much people don't know about the sharp turn button.

I like sea races and enjoy them as it isnt a type of race that seems to come up as much as land or air.

I think one of the reasons might be that if you are out in front then the chances of you messing up the race are quite slim as there aren't onstacles like lamposts or benches etc that will slow you down so if some one does happen to get a bit of a lead people get fed up of it.

Real shame sea races aren't very popular. Seashark racing is fun as f*ck.

Sea races are so boring. Once you fall behind you can't catch back up.

I agree with Mosin, once your behind, it's end of race. Even with catch up on you can't catch up. Every race I've done, someone usually knocks me at the start and then were both got no hope.

Sea races are fun,but there's not much course variety . Also, many people don't know how to drive them effectively . I will say that team GTA race on boats is an awesome experience.

People don't like to find new stuff. They're always repeating the same sh*t over and over. I like sea races too.

I love sea races. If you know how to hold A then 9/10 you could beat these asshats.

I love sea races! I actually prefer them to car races, since hardly anyone in this game can actually drive.

I like sea races, I would enjoy them a little more and probably play them often if the boats were customizable like the vehicles aka turbo, upgraded engines, different looks and color options. One other thing that would be extremely neat not for racing exactly but multiplayer, having tethers for boats so people can be pulled along with speed boats while they are floating around in their chute. I think this would promote the sea aspect of the game with the possibility of more people using boats more often and regularly.

Towable bananas, huh.
But i disagree with impossibility of catching up. First, if this is a race consisting of straights AND curves, then you often have chances to catch up with cornering. If there is a long straight in the open sea you can use the waves as dynamic rough terrain. Thats why i LOVE the races during a storm.

I tried out sea racing a couple of times.  It's pretty damned lame.  All of the courses might as well be the same, and finishing positions are set from the very beginning unless somebody f*cks up real bad.

I'm going to avoid any shameless plugs here but as far as being behind forever etc, you should look at user made races that go up and down the rivers. With the rapids and narrow spots it actually takes a bit of skill to navigate and it gives racers a chance to pass and overtake others.

I enjoy them, dislike the one's that are just figures in the water though. Throw in an island, a river or a ramp. Not just race in nothingness.

Even the content creator caters for sea races now, I have yet to come across any custom sea race though.

I created one, played it but it is boring. You are racing in a vast area of water, there is no real action happening compared to cars and planes/helicopters.
