After just re-watching the mission "Mr. Philips", I started to think about what actually happened there, and I came to a simple conclusion:

"BUT WHY IZ HE ON DRUGZ?"

Nah, just fu*king with ya, Nobum.

OT:

I believe that Ashley is the person who killed Johnny, not Trevor. Ashley was the person who made him the person he was in GTA V.

AND DA DRUGZ.

But yeah, pretty much. In TLAD, in the end Johnny stated that he doesn't give two f*cks about Ashley, and now look at him in V.

If Johnny didn't get addicted, things would have turned out differently.

That bitch Ashley killed Johnny, not Trevor. She got Johnny hooked on meth again.

I still think Johnny should have been able to defend himself better! I think it was a bad plot decision on rockstar's part... They chose to give Johnny a shocking entrance to the game and I think they chose to sacrifice Johnny as an easy way to do so. Meth or no meth Johnny should have been able to handle himself better even if he did end up dying. If all of the lost's west coast factions can put up a strong fight against Trevor then why can't Johnny, I'm sure Johnny isn't the only or most methed up member of the lost.

He also said that he would never be hooked on meth again. We all know how that turned out.

He did go against his own words, all for a whore who also happens to be a meth addict.

@ ryan_j

He never had a chance. The meth turned him into a weak person.

Johnny was also stupid, since he didn't bring any back-up.

But, on track, the meth turned him. Another example would be Marnie, who went from heroin addict to a clean person, who has moved on from drugs, but she obviously improved her life, unlike Johnny, who returned to his addiction, instead of moving on.

If only Johnny was more like Tuco from Breaking Bad. That guy was always jacked up on meth and look what he did! (Season 1/2 spoilers in the vid)

I agree with you but still! I'm not even saying he shouldn't have died, even if he just tackled Trevor or at least draw blood.. Something.

@Target13

She should have died in TLAD, if you ask me.

@Ryan_J

He did warn Trevor.

On a more serious note, he should have fought back IMO, with a knife or at least some punches, instead of just standing there like a moron.

But lets not forget that he was weak as a result of his addiction.

That is kinda my main problem too. I hate the fact that he actually went out, but the way he did, it was utter bad.

If you attack your drug dealer he probably won't sell you drugs anymore. I bet he didn't think Trevor was gonna kill him though!

People say that he was out of character, but that is what people become like when they use drugs and drink, they get out off character. There was nothing inconsistent about that scene with what we saw in IV.

How?

rushed storyline

endings a and b had both trevor and franklin playing extremely out of character.

michaels family problems solved in about 4 missions

johnny being out of character

forgettable side characters because of poor writing

disappearance of trevors mom

ect

Johnny being out of character? You don't know what happened after 4 and before V. R* does.

And you wanna know what happened? Johnny, still having a soft spot for Ashley, let her f*ck him up again. It's perfectly explained. If you can't get it, then I dunno what to tell you.

My computer is a bit slow, sorry.

But your points are still a bit off. Johnny is addicted, so obviously he would be a bit different than in TLAD.

Rushed? How?

Ending A had Trevor in-character. Ending B, however, did have an off-character Franklin.

I still remember the side characters very well, looks lile you skipped a few cutscenes. ;)

As for Mike's family reuniting, 4 out of 69 missions isn't that bad.

while my examples may not be the best, i suggest reading http://gtaforums.com...-with-vs-story/

a thread that completely rips this sh*tty storyline apart.

That still doesn't explain how there's suddenly thousands of Lost members in San Andreas, without a single trace of Angels of Death anywhere. TLaD's in-game internet clearly states AoD originated there, not the Lost.

You also gotta love how Terry and Clay didn't even consider shooting this guy who told them he just murdered their best friend.

There's a random encounter featuring a LOST member asking the player to help him escape the cops, who tells that the AoD are "finished" in SA but that the LOST also dropped every holding they used to have in the LC area... But he doesn't actually offer any in depth explanation as to how come it went to be.

I only remember Trevor making meth, not taking it.

Meanwhile, Johnny was messed up because of it.

Also, Trevor's a psycho.

So, yes, you can blame the drugs. And you should blame the drugs, because it's the reason Johnny was who he was in V.
