The problem I have with it is that some people say they were born gay, that's so crazy. Or the "I was born in another body"-bullsh*t as if it's isn't a choice you make.

Because it is a choice, you can even switch back to being straight or bisexual afterwards. Unless you're going for the "but they aren't REAL gays, HUPADURPAUDHARUPDAPURUP".

Right, because in the 50s Millions of people thought 'you know what's a good idea? Being arrested, castrated, lobotomised and having electo-shock treatment, just so I can f*ck a guy!' It's a similar thing with paedophiles. They're just being edgy by being attracted to kids. Essentially they're hipsters.

I'm a bisexual 20 year-old who is attracted to people of all ages, from children to the elderly. Does that make me a pedophile? I suppose that may be the correct definition, but in my eyes, I just don't have any boundaries. Difference being, I acknowledge the fact that sleeping with somebody underage is a terrible act, and would never act on that specific sexual interest. I just happen to find them equally as sexually arousing as say, somebody of my own age. Obviously I have preferences when it comes to sexuality, on the whole I prefer chubbier people over slimmer people, certain hair colours over others, and so forth. I think I slightly prefer men over women, but by no means does that make me exclusively homosexual.

Oh, and if anyone says sexuality is a choice, you are an idiot. I know a lesbian who's sister told her she simply hasn't found the right man yet. How do you know you're not sexually attracted to animals, statues, or even a piece of f*cking paper? You just know. I discovered I liked men as well as women when I was fourteen. I decided to watch gay porn for a change, and found that it very much turned me on.

For the people who think sexuality is a choice, why don't you try watching gay porn? Don't like it? Keep watching, surely you will find a certain video that arouses you? Do I hear you saying no? The same applies for homosexuals. Straight porn doesn't appeal to gay men for instance, and the thought of sleeping with a woman is just as alien as a heterosexual man trying to enjoy the thought of sleeping with another man.

Open your eyes.

Now that I think about it I might just be bisexual, I thought being gay was a choice because I'm attracted to everyone and could choose to be gay if I wanted to, I don't even know how long i've been like that but I thought it was normal for everyone.

That isn't really a 'choice' though is it. You would still be attracted to men if you only dated women and vice versa

No, I suspect that you're just a sex deprived creep.

First of all, I am homosexual, heh.

Well I think I sort of understand how someone can think being gay is weird since I remember thinking it was wrong up until I turned 15 or so, probably since my parents raised me a Catholic and they were way more conservative back then. Thank God I accepted it as being okay afterwards. But I mean I understand the way someone with the idea that LGBT people are weird / not normal thinks. They just haven't made that "click" in their mind yet. And I especially understand that the whole "should gays be allowed to adopt kids" is a really complicated matter. I personally don't want kids but I think anyone should be allowed to, considering a lot of straight couples are horrible parents anyway and there are all sorts of shapes and forms for loving families nowadays, that bring up perfectly decent children.

So I really hope society evolves to the point where no one cares about your sexual orientation because they realize it's fine and you are still a normal human being. And that everyone should know that what happens between consenting adults only matters to them and that having a loving partner is a very important part of any human's life.

And on a side note, there's something that I REALLY hate and it's when people instantly accuse someone of homophobic just because they disagree with someone who's gay. I've met countless of people who happen to be gay and huge jerks at the same time.
Another thing that I really hate is when people have homophobic ideas and they express them under the excuse of "having gay friends so it's okay, I'm not homophobic." I mean people who speak against gays in any way but then say that they have gay friends. Who cares about your friends? STFU!

I also think a large part of the LGBT community, like any other social group, is willingly or unwillingly plotting against the whole peace and acceptance ideal by being too provoking and hostile. I think violence and shock work in some matters but in this one, where most of the opposition think that gays break family values and are "weird", I think gays should try a peaceful aproach and just prove that we are as potentially good as any other human. And that love is love regardless of gender. I mean this as a way of trying to convince any right wing politician of making laws that give us rights.

Although I think no one should exactly shove their religion or ideals into anyone else's face, there's still a lot to change in the laws of countries. Until the rights are equal for everyone, the struggle will continue.

And I don't understand exactly what people think when they say "being gay is a choice". A choice how? A choice between being with someone your same gender or noone at all? Because it certainly is NOT a choice between being gay or straight, I can assure that from experience.

Sorry if my comment is inconsistent, that happens after writing a lot of words :p

I have nothing against homosexuality, and I'm pro gay marraige. Homosexual couples deserve the same right to be married and miserable, just like heterosexual couples.

What does irk me is when someone is defined by their sexuality. You know, the type who wants everybody on the planet to know they're gay, like every 5 minutes they say "I'm gay! Gay, gay, gay! Hey everybody, I'm gay! That makes me FAAAAAAAABOLUS!"

In my opinion, that's just as annoying as the hetero guys who are constantly saying things like, "LOOK AT THEM TITTIES! I f*ckIN' LOVE TITS! WOOOOOO TITS!"

Have you ever spent time with an 11-year-old boy and wanted more from him than he was willing to give? Have you ever breathed in the scent of a woman’s sweaty, unwashed sex and just wanted to bottle and sell it at market? Have you ever been so drunk on cock you howled at the moon and begged for a few inches more?

It's also worth making the distinction between sexual arousal and sexual attraction. Something can be sexually arousing without being attractive. Best example of this is amongst rape victims; the fact they may be (in fact are quite likely) to be aroused during the act doesn't mean that they enjoy it or find it attractive.

Or for a PG analogy. It's like when you get forcibly tickled and it's actually painful but you keep laughing anyways.

I'm fine with gay people, but there's some things I don't wanna hear/see. I don't need to know what happened in the bedroom (same for straight sex). I also hate it when gay people dress inappropriate, and please, know how to deal with heterosexuals.

@those who are in any way against gays: What if you look at it from this perspective? (I edited quotes from this thread, I'm not implying this is what any of you have said or meant, or trying to put words on the mouth of who said these)

I'm fine with black people, but there's some things I don't wanna hear/see. I don't need to know what happened in the bedroom (same for white people). I also hate it when black people dress inappropriate, and please, know how to deal with whites.

seriously, nothing grinds my gears like those god damned asians f*cking in public

groce

I as a conservative have nothing against if people are allowed to be black and to show it in public. I used to be friends with two latinos and one mixed. But I'm against black marriage and black adoption of children.

Edit: Okay I think I might be a massive troll for posting that ↑ But anyway, anything against gay people is just the same as anything against any "group" (or what you can classify as group) of people. Particularly minorities in this case.

Unless you think being gay is a crime, in which case a few countries out there actually have laws to please you, like death penalty for gays in Iran.

Homosexual rights are excellent distractions for politicians, so we can avoid talking about sh*t that matters.  David Cameron tried this; suddenly the UK economy was down turning, oh right, gay marriage is going to be legal!  What up!  Sadly, the economy did not become better because of that.

Opposing same sex marriage seems more a case of obstruction than anything else.

Open your eyes.

I agree with everything you said except I like slimmer guys and my own age give or take 3 years usually, with certain outliers like benedict cumberbatch  :) smae goes for girls with regards to age.

Lucky for us bisexuals we like both gay and straight porn ;) (or at least I do) That is actually how I learned I was bi, I was mindf*cked into admitting feelings for a guy I didn't even know i had, but as a final test I went to find some gay porn. Never looked back.

You can't choose who you are attracted to, you can't close your eyes and find an incredibly hot guy not attractive or an ugly guy hot. Well you can do the latter with alcohol.

The only time sexuality is an issue for me is when a hot guy says they are gay/bi. and then it is a positive issue ;)

It's also worth making the distinction between sexual arousal and sexual attraction. Something can be sexually arousing without being attractive. Why don't you actually utilize your brain and think about this for a second: how does one choose to be physically attracted to something they once weren't attracted to? A straight man cannot just look at a male and force himself to get turned on. That would be like me saying I could get myself turned on by a horse or a house or anything really.

Most gays are born gay and those who choose to be gay were actually gay all along or are just faking it. Period.
