They call it "False 3D". Basically a box with a so called 'sprite' on it. I know this technique since it was used on one of my first projects back in the day. Nothing to extract, only the textures. Also known as 2.5D

Maject1c_r3 said that I should fix this by hand, but I don't know a lot about lods, so is there an article I could read in order to fix the lod spawning problem? I've searched the internet, but I couldn't find anything useful...

P.S. I've got test tool (not planned to release because it a bit sh*tty) which can help you to speedup renaming LODs (with it I can set all LODs for entire island in 1-2 hours). Can upload it if interested.

And by the way, you mentioned something about IDE flags on tree shadows... When I try to find the object name, Ked Crashes and Med selects the wrong object... What's the shadow object name?

He said that it renames the LODs... The original LODs exist and are extracted, but they have wrong name, so they spawn with the original models...

What kind of work? Is it more accurate then visually matching the LOD's?

Basically to rename a model of the map you need to do this in IDE, IPL, IMG/DIR and COL. The tool works like "Replace" tool in Notepad - you just need to browse necessary files, set old and new name of necessary model an it will be found and renamed in all files. This tool doesn't cancels visual matching, but with it you can rename LODs much faster.

Also, I've noticed that when I approach them, let's say, in a car, I see flipped faces, but when I see them with the camera turned left or right (in-car aiming camera), everything is just fine... Why's that?

This bug appears only if model has "Alpha Transparency" IDE flag and I don't know why. Unfortunately I'm not exe hacker and can't find the way to solve this.

BTW, I would like to test these GTA Stories maps on Vice City.

 

Anyone knows how to install these maps? It's because IDK how to install them.
