Apple TV or Google Chromecast is what you're looking for.

Google Chromecast is what I'm looking for, is it basicially a usb stick that you plug into the TV and connect it via WiFi and you can stream anything you want on there?

I'm not 100% clear on the specifics, but I think so. I think you can connect through wifi, and your phone. Not sure what you need on your TV, though. You might need an HDMI or USB port.

I think the Chromecast is a HDMi, not a USB.

Here is a picture of it -

If you don't want to buy additional hardware, most smartphones and tablets will let you stream to a external source with the hdmi output.
