Still impressed with how they were able to get so much out of a 16 bit processor to make these sounds truly haunting.

There are many, many OSTs from games that have blown me away, but this one in particular... holy sh*t.

This one is really suspenseful. It makes me think of a Russian attack or something. It's pretty badass IMO.

This is an spaghetti samurai movie that was bashed for not being about cowboys, being fiction, being authentic, having Tom Cruise in it, etc.

Ironically lots of people in Japan went to see it. Think of this movie as the Japan equivalent of Murican westerns only this one is made to appeal to both audiences. After all, cowboy and samurai movies have always been closely related.

The Opening Theme from Megaman 2 is fantastic:

https://www.youtube....e&v=ZT9DST_M_g8

Battle Against a Weak Opponent from Earthbound/Mother 2 was always a favorite of mine since it's basically Tequila:

https://www.youtube....e&v=qlgYRMPg86M

And since those two were short, I shall give you a longer piece, from a recent game. It's one of the main menu pieces from Sleeping Dogs. Not sure it has a name, though:

My favourite soundtracks:

1.Rayman (PS1, PC), ALL OF IT, seriously the soundtrack is a f*cking master piece, anyone who hasn't heard the soundtrack hasn't lived:

Spoiler

2. GTA V (PS3/4+Xbox 360/One), The score here is amazing, nuff said:

3. Toy Story (SNES, Genesis), while the soundtrack differes on both consoles, they're both great, however the PC soundtrack sucks:

EDIT:

Almost forgot...

4. Crash Twinsanity! Seriously, this is probably the most original soundtrack I've heard:

There's actually another thread like this already, but it didn't get as much attention despite being posted before this one. Might as well repost all the stuff I posted there:

Bernard Hermann has composed music for a lot of classic movies from before the 80s:

From the movie Drive(Cliff Martinez is probably my favorite modern composer):

Some tracks from the movie Only God Forgives. The movie wasn't well received, but I think a lot of people still liked the soundtrack:

Cliff Martinez - Take it off

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lsDzq65jHNE

Cliff Martinez - Wanna Fight

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JRHMJ_zzjnA

The atmosphere in Blade Runner is just magical:

Vangelis - Blade Runner blues

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VrtznDTsDVQ

Don't watch a lot of anime, but Akira was an exciting and interesting film with a great soundtrack

Geinoh Yamashirogumi - Kaneda(mind your ears there's kind of a loud sound effect in the beginning, but the rest is good):

Good post I posted Wanna Fight on post 48..   :D

Game/Movie time!

PFP one of the most underrated and best final boss tracks.

Great downtempo ambient to set up the beginning of the movie..  That movie being Drive.

In a House, In a Heartbeat is one of the best soundtracks ever IMO. I honestly couldn't think of a more perfect song for the opening to 28 Weeks Later, it worked so well. Building up the tension gradually, as the inevitable happened.  :^:

Still waiting for 28 Months Later here..

My top 10, from most to least so:

(only songs that were made for the respective production or licensed exclusively, cause otherwise I'd be listing only GTA songs, and only one from each series, cause otherwise I'd be listing only Miami Vice songs)

1. Poets of The Fall - Late Goodbye (Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne)

https://www.youtube....h?v=GCj-I4LoqtQ

2. Phil Collins - In The Air Tonight (Miami Vice ) (the 80's TV show not the garbage movie)

https://www.youtube....h?v=Vakv2xFH3Bc

3. Hot Action Cop - Going Down on It (Best Need For Speed)

https://www.youtube....h?v=MdnKcuIYwZI

4. Faunts - M4 Part II (Mass Effect)

https://www.youtube....h?v=sUKiOcV1SSc

5. Malcolm Kirby Jr. - Warden Arrival (Saints Row IV)

https://www.youtube....h?v=YQWFUyp5bHM

6. Sleryl Crow - Real Gone (Cars)

https://www.youtube....h?v=62Vjm0UGfv8

7. ??? - Burnout Theme (Paradise Remix, Burnout Paradise)

https://www.youtube....h?v=oGQi5cVjYJM

8. Anything (Assassins Creed II) (they are all more or less remixes of the same song, but pretty awesome)

https://www.youtube....3E2DDA4&index=2

9. Nickleback (STFU) - Hero (Spider-Man)

https://www.youtube....h?v=bXrpuWkQKe8

10. Alexander Brandon - Boss Theme 2 (Jazz Jackrabbit 2)
