I'm not saying all of them but a lot of them are read their posts theirs always a racist undertone.

Calling someone a racist is taboo on here, even if it's true. Whenever the word 'racist' is said, or as I tend to put it 'dislike for african american culture' or 'dislike for black people', everybody starts mocking the word racist like it's a ridiculous non existent quality.

Second of all (and this is not necessarily aimed at you): my gripe is more with those who keep complaining about Franklin and the story not having more to do with all that stuff, and like I've stated a thousand times; this game was never about that. Sure, the game featured LS, but so did SA, and the whole backbone of that game was centred around that theme; this time it needed to take a backseat, and it did thankfully. Some people just need to be grateful they even got any gang-related missions at all, let alone a protagonist of that nature. But as we all know, entitled brats are never grateful...for anything.

Despite what people say about Franklin and his lack of part in the story, I still found him refreshing, he was on a different tangent to the other two, and it provided some nice variety.
Besides, Franklin had his moments, I love that part where you bust down the door in the warehouse and blast the guy into a wall with a shotgun.

SA's story was not the best in the series, but it was a lot more interesting and entertaining that GTA V's story for sure.

Sorry, but you're full of sh*t, SA's story is the worst in the series.GTA V kinda felt like an 80s movie, SA felt like a 2000s "RETURN TO THE 90s" drug trip movie. It's a good game, but if you think it has better storyline than V... the very last part of the game was about the FIB, Merryweather, IAA et cetera, it was at least more interesting than SA.tl'dr: We heard you say that over 9000 times, it's getting boring.
Then I am full of sh*t. That's just my honest view on GTA V's story, to me (and many others) it was the worst in series since GTA III. That FIB/IAA/Merryweather bullsh*t took up nearly half of the story, don't talk such rubbish like I never played or completed the game.

And you can hear me say it again for 9001st time. How ya like me now ?

The thing is though most of San Andreas' content isn't hood-focused. The first 20 or so missions of the game usually come to mind when thinking of the "gangster" aspects of the game but now that I think about it, apart from spraying tags, doing a couple of drive-bys and killing some Ballas, there wasn't that much "hood" in that part of the game either. Yeah you can talk about gameplay features such as recruiting gang members, spraying tags and gang wars but at the end of the day most of the story missions and side activities are completely disconnected from the gangster theme and CJ's character. I know f*ck all about American ghetto lifestyle and all that gang sh*te but I'm pretty sure that your average hoodrat doesn't go round doing top secret missions for the CIA, pulling off elaborate Casino heists with a ragtag team involving a blind Chinese man and a computer nerd, getting a bloody pilot's license after buying an airstrip, breaking into Area 51, and doing work for the Mafia. And that's not mentioning all the side missions.

I hate to say it, but to some extent this is true on here. It's like they are so quick to shut down any claims of racism on this thread, even when there are clear examples or undertones of it in certain comments. And they scream murder at anyone who even mentions the word racist in the same situation.

That's what was so great about it. The root core of San Andreas was that hood sh*t and that's why the game sold as well as it did but it was so much more than that. There was a solid 30 or 40 hood related missions in SA. I don't wanna play a gang member that was restricted to hood ratchetness, even if San Andreas story was was finicky they executed it perfectly - a gang member who's circumstances forced him to move up and he eventually became a professional criminal but still had the option to do gang stuff. With Franklin it's like "im gonna decide to do a bunch of heists, most of which i dont get paid for, then retire from life in my mansion cut off from society cause thats good gameplay roflcopt0r"

Now that I think of it, maybe it's not so much that GTA V's story is bad but maybe we assume the role of the characters too late. I'd have liked to play as Franklin before all that, when he was a dope dealer really tied in with the gang sh*t and fleshed that out before we immediately jump into doing big heists. Give him a few gang side missions like gang wars, tags to spray over, etc. and then give a reason to really want to do heists and get involved in the professional crimes. The whole Tanisha thing could have worked with Franklin going all Jay Gatsby to try and win her back or something. But as it stands it's just a boring mess to me. A pretty, graphically stunning boring mess.

It had the makings to be amazing. It had a really good new style, characters and a great background to it. I only wish it was longer and a little more drawn out.

How the white people who have a false sense of sophistication think
"(Racism) f*ck these guys gta v has enouhh gang activity with the cia and fbi and who wants to play as some no life hoodlum when bikers and mafia are loyal and would never betray eachother and have a strong sense of brotherhood because they are white and being a minority is dirty and disgusting to me"

Well. there was too many pages for me to sit read through aint got the time. But a quick summary of what i think wil have happened.

Greenrock creates one of his dumbass threads about the hood.General my vato dont like to back down so comes in here blah blah blah. Vatos get arguing and basically it is a lot of the Gang life ls members against the rest of the hood hating motherf*ckers in a big ass arguement.

Anyway. yeah i hate on V a bit because it wasnt hood focused. Well not hood focused to be exact. In videos or whatever. the amount of things actually shown. We got a small percentage of that. But im on the Gang life side

You're wrong because you generalized everybody.

My like for V has nothing to do with race. I can't speak for others but I feel like GTA already did the gang thing and the mafia thing and others so why not switch gears for a bit and focus on some freelance bank robbers. It is an area that R had not really touched so I liked that they touched on that. I also like the fact that white collar crime is sort of a part of this game and you can take out ceos and manipulate stocks to get very rich. It is to me a good departure from the same ole same ole. Just repeating the story of SA would have been boring as repeating the stories of VC or IV would have been.

But...but...government corruption is not crime...IT'S NOT CRIME...IT DOESN'T BELONG IN A GTA GAME...DOWN WITH THIS TREACHERY!!!!

It also never existed in a GTA game before. Tennpenny, Mike Toreno and UNLV Paper don't actually exist.
