Today was good and I'm happy unlike the past days of this week. I've been discovering that during slow work days, I get depressed after coming home when most of the time at work was spent not doing anything productive. The days when I'm busy with things to work on, I return home with a very good mood. I confirm that for me, being busy and productive, whether during company's or my hours, is the solution to depression and self-doubt. Definitely not a complete remedy to these issues, but it helps significantly.

I got mad and hollered at a coworker for stealing my delivery (the way pizza delivering works is that if X gets in first, followed by Y and Z, X goes out on the next delivery, then Y, and then Z). He's been doing this for years but now I finally had enough of it. Goddamn I was livid but at least I had my coworkers to back me up. We're all gonna go to Dennys later. Swell.

I'd look more into that. You can distract yourself from depression but it's still very much there.

I recently became friends with a girl from work. We'll name that friend A. She was looking for another full-time job with better pay and typical 8-5 hours instead of the 12 hr shifts we had every other day. She told me she paid someone at the library back in Pittsburgh to fix her resume, cover letter, and reference sheet for her. She said she applied to a lot of jobs, but never heard a call back. She was discouraged and I felt bad for her. The rest of her fam is back in PIttsburgh. I could relate because most of my fam lives in California except for the oldest sister, who I live with here in NC. So, without her asking for my help, I took the initiative and told her to give me a copy of her resume, cover letter, and list of references. I went home and worked on fixing it. I don't know who she paid to do her resume, but it was so bad. All they did was copy the same job description to each position she had at different companies. I was like, sh*t, she could've paid me to do that. Haha. Anyhow, I rewrote and formatted her resume, updated her cover letter including her reference list. I helped create an account on Indeed.com as well. In a couple of days after giving her the final copies of her documents and creating her profile with the resume attached - she got call backs and even a few interviews. I did my part and the rest was hers.

Back to how my day went today .. sorry, had to give you the back story before I get to the point .. at the job A's currently at now; they just fired a girl last Thursday. We'll name that 2nd girl, B. B whined, complained, and slacked off of work because she couldn't get the pay she wanted or the hours she needed. I just heard that she got fired from that job 2 days ago. It's crazy that I saw her profile pop up in my "suggestions" list on Facebook earlier today, so I checked her page out only to receive a text from her about 30 mins later saying..

"hey girl, hope you doing well. Need a huge favor from you. They fired me because they didn't see that I was happy and that they couldn't give me what I needed. **** told me you helped her get a job by fixing her resume and stuff can you help me"

Now, my thing is .. I don't like B and A knows this. Never did when I first met her. I don't even socialize with her outside of work let alone want to have a general convo with her at work. I believe A is ok with her in general, but not work wise. I've yet to text B back with my response.

Hmm.. what to say..  :sneaky:

Been in awkward sticky situations like this myself. I think the best thing to do would be to say sorry you can't and just leave it at that. If she asks for a reason, don't provide one, just say you can't. Basically, no matter which way this situation plays out, she won't be happy unless you help her and if you really don't f with her like that, there's no reason to.

I've been trying to think of a polite way to say the same, but honestly, that wasn't too rude at all.  Do this.

This was actually yesterday; I went to a very nice place called Quarry Bank in Cheshire UK.

I took this snap in the garden . The greenhouse reminds me of the one in Far Cry 3, at Dr Earnhardt's mansion...

Went to Quarry Bank Mill last year with the missus, the whole tour felt like a Silent Hill DLC. She also got told off for chewing gum in a 300 year old kitchen.

Wow. That actually doesn't surprise me.

I'm a National Trust member but I only visit the gardens, I hate the stately homes. They are all the damn same and the try-hard know-it-all guides are really over-zealous.

I once got told off at Lyme Hall for having my guidebook open at the wrong page..!

Good News: I finally found an entire collection of the Old Man Logan series, the movie made me wanna read it.

Bad News: It's in spanish, dammit. :/ Oh well, english or spanish, it's still a p badass story to read. I'll buy it when I get my next paycheck. :)

Well this was a fun day.

Here i thought me knowing some basic English was not that special, but seems the office i went to today for some talking get quite some job offers that nearly request someone to know english.

Besides that i went to see some person that looks like 35 yet claims to be 28....seems he is is now angry at me that i think him to look like that....it is like saying "do not take this personal" does not always helps it seems.

Oh well, not my problem.

I really think i need some more lessons to learn how to lie out of kindness.

But after that i went to get myself what i consider the best star wars novel ever.

Seems some publisher of the "Newsday" thinks the same since it says that on the cover.

This will be a nice read while i will be grinding gerald missions in GTAO and let the timer pass.

I just got confirmation that I passed my final exam. All I have to do now is finish my thesis with a passing grade and I'll have my Master of Laws. So yeah, it's a pretty good day.

Boring af. Can't wait for the semester to end. I feel like my college experience, at least when it comes to last semester, has been butchered. The only way worse sh*t could've happened is if I couldn't pay for it. This past semester has been good but really this is how my first semester should have gone. It feels like I actually got a taste of college, last semester was the worst. Bad professors, classes, situations- just glad it's over and I'm more focused.

Semester's nearly over. It's been rough, but ending well! Finished up one of my final projects, only one left to go. Final exams are next week, but I'm not too worried.

Also I'm interning at Intel this summer, so that should be interesting!

It's barely begun but I'm already off to a bad start. I ate too much cereal for breakfast so now my stomach sounds like a 75 year old woman seeing her newborn grandchild for the first time.

The store manager called me into the office the minute I stepped into work this afternoon. I was certain that our meeting was going to be in regard to the clusterf*ck over the weekend. Nope. I found myself sitting in the office, dazed and confused, about to be interviewed for a position I had applied for a few weeks ago. Specifically, it was for one of two new "Support Manager" positions. It went really poorly. I could barely formulate a coherent response to any of his questions. I walked out looking like a f*cking idiot and it didn't help that we concluded the interview by discussing my educational background (or rather, lack thereof), not to mention my goals and aspirations in life. FFS, obviously I don't have any goals and aspirations in life if I'm f*cking twenty-two years old, uneducated, happily working what is arguably the sh*ttiest job at Walmart. I don't even know what f*cking porno I want to jerk off to tonight, let alone what I want to do with my life.

Holy f*cking sh*t! I've been on a 30 year mission to replace something I had in the 80's...no sh*t. Hear my story.

I've been wearing patchouli for most of my life. Honest, I think I was about 12 years old when I started.
*my current batch.
VVpYpSi.jpg

Back in the day I picked up a patchouli blend named "Nile Spice" from the hippie shop and I really liked it. So did a lot of my communal hippie friends - so it didn't last long.

No sh*t. I spent the rest of my life trying to get that scent again. I even had the old wise hippie guy(long dead now) who made a lot of my oils take a stab. He was great for making stuff like Rootbeer and Black Licorice oil but he couldn't duplicate "Nile Spice".

Since between then and now the Internet showed up making finding info...and things a lot easier. You'd think today's Internet would have ended my quest. It didn't. I kind of gave up in a way.

So the other drunk night I'm drunk shopping on Amazon. I decide to seach Nile Spice. No luck. So I decide to see what other oils they had. Then I decided to check patchouli blends. There are tons of blends. I found one that sounded like it 'could be' 'Nile Spice'. I took the gamble.

It arrived yesterday and this morning was when I thought I'd test it.

HOLY sh*t!

It's the Nile Spice I remember from 30 some years ago.
gWLMIvK.jpg

If you see it...buy it! Smell good.

*for those who don't know how to wear essential oils...less is always better.
