I love having a bounty placed on me, probably the most joy I get out of this game is taking out the would be bounty hunters. Nothing better than holding up a store, watching the white dots race in for what they expect to be fish in a barrel, then come out of the store guns blazing. Double sometimes triple kills, good stuff!

1. Steal a car
2. Drive a bit so the person doesn't try to get it back.
3. Get out before the usual time it takes for the bounty notice to come up.
4. Get back in and enjoy.
5. ???
6. Profit.

You know what's really annoying? I run those people the f*ck over when I jack their sh*t and then they place a bounty on me from the grave... I hate that so f*cking much.

I wish it didn't happen as often as it did but at the end of the day I can live with it. If you dont want the bounty just stand still and sooner or later someone will kill you and claim it.

That's true, teking out the former owner of the vehicle seems to reduce the frequency of a bounty being placed, but not 100% of the time.

Also, How the hell do they get our phone number.

Pull NPC out of car,

Kill NPC,

Drive off and get a text from them.

Don't make sense.

Car has a tracker and you have your phone, people can track lost cars and it redirect to your phone.

Try These Steps,

1: Steal a Car

2: Kill the Driver or better yet run over him so that you don't get a wanted star

3: Ride into the sunset Bounty Free!

Or

1: Find the car you want

2: Take out your gun and aim at the driver {from afar so he wont run over you}

3: If your Lucky he will get out of the car and run for his life

4: You get the Car Scratch Free! {No bounty will be Placed over you}

Or

1: Find the car you want

2: Either Shoot the Windows or Grab another car and ram into the car in slow speed

3: Your aim is to break the windows either way but not damage the car badly

4: Once you break the window of the Driver Seat, Get in the car and run to Los Santos!

Note: A bounty can and will only be placed if a Owner of the car is Alive! Hope I could Help! :D

I love the bounty, I pretty much ignore the $1 or $3K but I make sure I keep all the other ones. I just keep stealing cars in front of my apartment until one is put on me. Drive a block or 2 and wait for the text message.

Unfortunately , killing the driver is not 100% guaranteed to stop a bounty.
Maybe the owner had loaned their car to someone?

I too hate the post mortem bounty and the car having a tracker in it is no way to get a phone number. I have never had real Lo-Jack but I'm guessing it doesn't come with the ability to scan your vehicle for wireless signals and then cross-reference them with a cell providers customer database. That's probably an extra fee, or Lester works for a surprising number of people. It is funny that they will spend 9k to bounty you for stealing a car that's worth about $3.50.
