I dont know, for some reason, it just took my breath away.. its atmoshphere, the way it brought the new gameplay from GTA V, how it told instructions on how the radar will still at the same time showing a storyline (Them robbing a bank) And it was just amazing! I really loved the mission, not only was it fun, it brought my experience in as it was the first mission I played after the midnight launch. I think the next GTA game(S) should have prolouge missions to sum up the purpose of the main inner storyline.

People seem to forget that SA's was worse.

I'd say it's the best prologue mission in the series.

Oh yeah. VC's story was so creative, wasn't it? Yeah, because it was a spoof on Scarface.

OT: Yeah, I also think that the mission was cool. It was the first mission that we played after 5 years of waiting, after all.

No, he isn't. And VC was just a "Scarface" ripoff. The only real difference between "Scarface" and VC was that the main protagonist is Italian and not Cuban. Woooow, soooo epic!

Most games I play have the best prologue mission. And then the missions go boring. I reply the game just for the prologue mission.

Kinda ironic since Al Pacino is italian-american, and all.

And no OP, you are not alone. It's the best introduction mission in the GTA history.

I'm aware of that, I'm a big fan of Pacino (what American movie-goer isn't?). But still, Tony Montana is a Cuban immigrant, not Italian. It is a valid point to make though.

The Prologue was Great and yes Badass OP.
Vice City wasnt a rip-off it only got inspiration for Scareface, then the game in 2006,years after GTA: Vice City have been release was a rip-off of Vice City same was for the first two Saints Row games to San Andreas.

@ I<3GTAV

Which 'people' ? Not me mate.

SA's story was not the best in series in by any means, but I thought it was much better than GTA V's story, especially with all that boring, federal agent and Merryweather bullsh*t.

@ Gta_V-_Fan101

Oh yeah. VC's story was so creative, wasn't it? Yeah, because it was a spoof on Scarface.

Well it was GTA's first real rags-to-riches story with substance. Even though the idea was not so original, the way it was expressed and structured was amazing. The plot was action-packed non-stop and very gripping. That's a ll a very good story needs, it don't need to be so original. Just bring the fun, intrigue and excitement and it's near enough a guaranteed success in pulling an audience of followers.

On topic, no the prologue mission was nothing special. To be honest, I even wanted to skip it and get straight to Los Santos. It was alright, but I can't say I was really thrilled by it.

The most memorable beginning of a GTA game for me is that belonging to Vice City. I will never forget that scene where Sonny Forelli discusses business with his crime family about their future and plans to enter the South Florida drug trade and make huge money - the airport pickup, the failed drug deal, the shootings and death of Tommy's henchmen and him escaping - now that's unforgettable, classic GTA.

A bank robbery is bound to be cooler than a "drive to your first safehouse" mission.

Whenever I replay the mission I'm appalled at how low the take is though. All that BS for like 100,000 dollars. You can't even buy a super car with that.

Yep, it took my breath away. At that moment, I thought the story was going to be one of the best ever written in a GTA game. But it went downhill from the FIB part.

It was nothing special, but it definetly was the best first mission in any GTA ever.

I'd pick it over "drive some prostitute here", "drive to your safehouse over there", "drive your cousing to his place", etc.

Slow paced? Just like IV? That's the worst way to start a GTA game. V's prologue was the best start in any GTA game and even open world game. You also need to remember the prologue mission was in Michael and Trevor's past, it was a quick introduction to us.

I liked it, better than other opening missions, but its hard for any mission to be great when its main goal is to teach you how to do everything.

WE need more cousin driving missions to start the game.

Also the FIB story might be polarizing but the actual missions are very fun.

Do you watch movies at all? There's a concept in film making that the first shot should sum up the entire movie. This mission does that expertly.

Fun Fact:The Prologue Mission is the First Mission in the HD Era,chronologically (circa. 2004) so that means GTA 4's First mission wasnt really the first ;)

It feels more like a long unskippable cutscene to me. At least the drive to Roman's apartment only took 45 seconds to complete, then you were free to do what you wanted.

This exactly for me.

Like I said earlier, I too wanted to skip it. Just did not really wanna start the game that way.
