Which seems to be quicker for you? I always load story mode first because going to online from there seems waaaay quicker.

Recently started doing the SP > character wheel thing.

Never realised the online part was in the wheel, usually went through the menu

I load online through story mode pause menu. More often than not starting online through the loading screen results in a ridiculous loading time and frequent time outs.

Yep, I also go to story mode, then use character switch to go online. Or sometimes I use invite sessions. It loads so much quicker. I was amazed wow.gif

I go onto single-player and launch mutli-player from there. If I launch multi-player directly it takes forever to load for some reason.

Single player then Online. Going immediately online feels like a 20 minute process.

I used to always time out when attempting to launch directly into online mode. Now I always load story mode then go to online from there.

SP then Online. Trying to access Online from the loading screen leads to time outs.

I normally go into an invite session first up when I play so I can try and remember what I was doing and sell a baller, so I have to use the story mode to online. It is a lot quicker now that someone has mentioned it.

I wish there was an option to be able to switch directly between invite only/ friends session and general session without having to go back through single player.

Single player first. It's faster for me, in my opinion.

Plus I can choose to go to Solo from there.

Single player and then online is a LOT quicker than straight to online, for me at least.  It can take a few minutes to start if I go straight to online.  I usually go into SP and join from the menu anyway, since I normally want to go non-public for a bit of money making or exploring first.  I go public later when I want trouble (cause or receive).

Story Mode > Pause Menu > Online > Play GTA Online > GO

Pressing A in the beginning is an awesome troll for people who come by and never played it though lol..

Don't know that exact times, saw a reddit post that counted the time, but direct to Online was around 3 minutes and Single player then online was half that.

depends on whether or not i'm gonna sit there and watch it

cuz SP->MP seems a lot faster than just hitting "A" in the loading screen

but often times I just start it up and walk away so i'll just do it from the loading screen

As most people do:

SP > MP.

Too long otherwise.

I do SP>Online>Invite Only

Mostly because I was traumatised by those first weeks of GTAO when characters were being erased left and right and SP>Online seemed safer.

sp to gtao is the way to go.

launching online from the loading screen is the worst thing you can do...

for me it takes a good 15minutes to load gtao, compared to the 6 minutes it takes me go into sp and launch gtao from the wheel.
