I feel like that was going to be for this cut option from the menus - Cinematic Shooting. It's in pausemenu.xml

This thread is about beta content / cut content Right? Does anyone have any idea why the fib guys that spawn at 10am by the satalite array in dessert were removed from pc/current gen? Or why did the artist request the Freemason statue to be removed from the beach? Is there a mod to add them back in? Sorry if this has been asked before

No idea why the FIB guys were removed, but the big sculpture by the beach was changed because the original sculpture in real life that they copied was probably copyrighted and the artist wanted credit and/or money for using it.

My guess is that R* removed the FIB guys because of the FIB Buffalo. In NG, most possibilities to get hold of rare police vehicles are gone (they basically did the same thing with the Stanier).

Too bad that we cant take the files from 360/ps3 and place them in the pc version

IIRC, an unpatched PC copy of the game had the original, unchanged sculpture (most likely only accessible in the files as I'm not even sure an unpatched game will launch). I recall reading about it on this thread, although I might be completely wrong.

 

EDIT: A quick search on this thread reveals it's only available on the 360/PS3 versions, so never mind.

I wanted to remade the "old" motox outfit of Franklin;

I got one thing left which is to edit the uppr texture of the skydiving outfit, and that's where I need help, I'm on 360 and here is the texture:

How can I possibly edit this in photoshop ? I don't understand...Is there someone with the PC version who can look through the files and see if maybe this texture is "normal" on PC..if yes then it would be very kind to post it here.

 

Located in: x64v.rpf\models\cdimages\streampeds_players\player_one then uppr_diff_020_a_uni.

The pants might be weird because i had to edit the model , its a pain in the ass to match it togeher , i might do another attempt on the them later

Not sure if you're serious, but you probably could open up the old-gen files and copy over the pedgroup data. I wonder if World of Variety actually restores this though, I wouldn't be surprised.

Is there a list of differences between the PS360 version of the game and the next-gen editions? Not the obvious stuff, but the asformentioned missing FIB and different sculpture - stuff like that.

As definitive as the next-gen versions are, there are some nice atmospheric details removed that would be nice to have restored on the PC.

@cp1dell yes I am serious and thank you Im probably gonna try to do that after I get off work. it would be nice, and there some other things like suspicious fire men spawning at 7pm next to the penris building the one with the pyramid and some stuff that I dont remember right now but I also know one tree was reversed? For some reason. Im also wondering if the fib agents and firemen have certain dialogue when zoomed in with sniper?

Im also trying to port the red dead horse with the animations to gta v but Im aware that we dont have that for gta 5 only iv, but I still havent seen red dead horse in gta iv either.

Pretty cool! I spend more than 2 hours on the texture, launched the game, selected it and boom, my console crashed; can't do anything, I'm crying, wast of time lmao. I guess I can't edit or do anything with these transparent textures, fortunately the clothes textures with different colors and decals are normal.

Hey guys. I found a sound file in the gta v folder. And it's the gta vice city sound when you start a new game in vice city. So I think I might know where the next gta will be.

 

the file is at: Grand Theft Auto V\x64\audio\sfx\SCRIPT.rpf\testing_02.awc

It's also the theme song to GTA 1 ;)

Of course, then it made its way into III as the pager sound, VC as the Rockstar North tune at the beginning, and as a ringtone in IV. Would have been nice if they kept the tune for V just for old times sake. Though, like you mentioned, it was probably just used as a placeholder during an earlier stage of V's development.
