Hopefully we can try to guess what will be added in DLC similar to the choppers TLAD revived from IV's cutting board. My first prediction: The Hunter Heli, and the off-road ATV

Hello everyone. I have some rather mindblowing news.

For the last 3 days my friend has been recovering deleted files from a Rockstar PS3 devkit.

We found 2 builds of Max Payne 3, (one we managed to boot) which i will show info of in the future. \

We also found what seems to be, an early GTA V build.

 

My friend sent me 10gb of video and audio from the GTA V and MP3 builds. There were some interesting GTA V video's, most notably an early version of the Jay Norris Lifeinvader conference. I'm out right now, but when i'm back home i'll post them as quickly as i can.

There also is a sh*tton of unused text. We mostly have found online stuff so far, with text referring to the online faction idea that was scrapped.

Appearently in online, you were able to arrest players, as a cop disturb bank robberies, sell drugs and visit comedy clubs (as seen below)

0x010FB87A = Gang members are using planes to drop off drugs packages around Los Santos. Use borrowed air force planes to intercept them and return the planes safely to the airport.
0x0177FC67 = ~s~The map shows which territories are being held by the Cops, the Vagos, and the Lost MC.~n~Territories will be shown in the controlling team's color.
0x0252149C = ~g~You returned the Crook to jail.
0x0271B271 = Time spent as a dirty cop
0x037F0EF0 = Time playing as Vagos
0x0387D69A = TEST MISSION
0x039DB4C6 = ~s~SELL DRUGS~n~Sells drugs from your vehicle. Stop the vehicle and alert potential buyers by sounding your horn.
0x03DAB87A = Final text will be added here.
0x0404F48A = Dummy label.
0x04DD1493 = *Placeholder* Visits to the Comedy Club
0x0695FFCB = The Port of LS Heist
0x088AF96F = Driving Skill Decreased: Crashed
0x0966D228 = THIS LABEL NEEDS TO BE HERE !!!
0x0EB2A69E = ~s~To buy your own vehicle, visit Freddie at the safehouse.
0x1B62DB34 = All units, we've got possible bank robbery at the Vinewood Bank of Los Santos.
0x1C04DC29 = You will receive increased rewards for completing the Country Bank Heist in the next 24 hours.

My friend also shared me this build's trackid.gxt2, which features 500 less lines than the final version (alot of songs werent added at this point, for instance Slow Down from Radio LS isn't here)

This build was recovered from deleted files so we are not sure if we can make it boot up. We also do not know any build date yet, which is why my friend is trying to get the game's SELF (executable).

Let's pray Rockstar doesn't shut my stuff down.

EDIT: Right as i was posting this my friend got the .ELF. It was compiled with PS3 SDK 4.20. Appearently they started using 4.30 in November 2012.

in the Video, the head wound of Jay, is on the others side than in the final game, this now Matches with the animations i posted a few pages ago.

So i have been looking through the executable and found very interesting discoveries. I do not know if these are in the final exe, but i doubt it.

GPS voices from GTA IV might have returned, possible it's just a leftover though.

This is really cool. A PS Vita port might have been in development, as it's codename is listed in the executable (psp2), along with the codenames for the Xbox One (durango) and PS4 (orbis) not to mention, the PC aswell. If a PS Vita port was never planned, there is no reason to why they would put it's codename in the .ELF. So i firmly believe they had experimented with the Vita during GTA V's development:

Lets hope Rockstar doesn't have a tracking chip in that dev ps3 and doesn't send men in black to recover it seeing as how paranoid they are with beta stuff.

Also there is pre-release DLC on the devkit aswell. Most notably "Clown DLC" and pre-release heists.

It also seems there are multiple GTA V builds. One from 2012 (maybe even another one from 2012), one from May 2013 and one from July 2013 respectively.

The recovery tool didn't put files in it's correct folders for GTA V, and also gave it incorrect names.

Every file is separetely recovered. Files from different builds seem to be mixed up with eachother. We have to find out ourselfs what the filetype/name/supposed folder the file has to be in.

This is gonna be difficult.

 

EDIT: The line ''ifruit'' cannot even be found. This doesn't exactly disprove the possibility that the PS Vita stuff is for the app, though.

Would anybody have a script that calculates RPF7 file size? And text files are blank in the archive he found, but again not all files are recovered yet so there still is a possibilty the Nice House text is in here somewhere.
