All great to excellent races, too bad neither of them have any GTA elements added to them. But fun races all! Full reviews tomorrow.

Broughy is definitely a pure racer.  His tracks reflect his style of play.

Drag Kings of Los Santos - Broughy1322 N

Nice race. If your still willing to do any editing I would try to do something about the last corner before the finish line. The checkpoint is barely visible on the approach because of the red thing on the corner. This makes it so you can't see the arrows. Also would be a good time to add GTA elements. That one checkpoint for me is killing an otherwise great race. It will get a Yes if that turn is addressed.

Party in Paleto Bay - Broughy1322 Y

Great bike race...Missing GTA elements.

Mall or Nothing - Broughy1322 Y

Perfect...loved it. Missing GTA elements.

Los Santos Gran Prix - Broughy1322 Y

Needs GTA elements. quality race. Only suggestion I have is possibly adjusting the position of the checkpoint on the right turn into the tunnel. Either deeper into the entrace a bit (like quarter way in) or pull it back before the turn a bit. I had to glance at mini map to tell which of the two entrances to take.

Los Santos Drag Kings - DrAtomic1 Y

Don't really like dragraces but there isn't anything wrong with this race...not much actually could be wrong with it lol.

Braddock Tunnel Draggers - DrAtomic1 Y

Drag race...not much to mess up. The only thing I question on this one is the curve to the right seems to give the advantage to the right lane.

Dragstars of Zancudo - DrAtomic1 Y

Drag race...not much to mess up.

Bridge Stripping - DrAtomic1 Y

Drag race...not much to mess up.

Frosty! Dragsters - DrAtomic1 Y

Drag race...not much to mess up.

Ridge Racer - MC_John_117 N

Dude, Noble, I really wanted to like this race after you were so cool about making some corrections and all. You did make some improvements but the race in general just isn't working for me. It is not so much that it is not a track with a purpose but that its purpose isn't so much for racing. I was fighting with myself for how to do this review while we were racing it. The track is for testing ability on a bike on mountains and for finding your way, sort of a puzzle track. I still think it needs a little checkpoint help but I don't think any amount of help there will make it fit this lists profile. I hope you can understand my poor translation of my thoughts. I think you meant well and would love to see another attempt from you on a new track.

Didn't realize you could nominate your own races so I'm going to give you guys some serious work to do with all of these races:

I heard playlists were browser dependent but I'll try them first since I have many tracks:

My Best-http://socialclub.ro...5T0Kt0xtucU8HpQ

Other Tracks out of the playlist:

Mission: Subway Sweep
Type: Race
Players: 1-16
Description: The subway is dangerous. You'll see for yourself in this extremely challenging lap race for land vehicles that takes you from the surface through the Los Santos subway and back. Featuring narrow tunnels with crash inducing stairs, machinery that explodes if you hit it, and immovable poles at the entry and exit; this race brings the hate. For the bold or the racing masochists only.
Link: http://socialclub.ro...Dg?platformId=1

Mission: Holy Rollers
Type: Race
Players: 1-16
Description: This point to point takes you from the church in Rancho to the church in Paleto Bay. You'll race through Los Santos and the Banham Canyon on the way.
Link: http://socialclub.ro...oQ?platformId=1

Mission: The Los Santos Triangle
Type: Race
Players: 1-16
Description: This challenging short lap race puts your corning skills to the test. Four sharp turns stand between you and the finish line.
Link: http://socialclub.ro...hg?platformId=1

Mission: Tinted Panes and Drains
Type: Race
Players: 1-16
Description: This lap race takes you from the mod shop in La Puerta to La Mesa and back. Includes a brief run through the drains on the way back.

S'okay.  Diff'rent strokes, they say...

The more I think about it, the more I think you're right.  It's as much for hang time as it is for racing, and if you're looking for a straight up race, this isn't likely to fit.  Once someone gets out front, it's rare to see anyone actually catch up, even if they're familiar with the track, so there's that.  Maybe if I change the description to more of a "hang-time" focus than an actual "race" it would make better sense?  Maybe "Off The Beaten Trail" (since there ISN'T one).  Sorta has that vibe of a buncha guys with off-road bikes just looking at the hills and going, "HEY!  Let's go THERE..." to it.

I found a couple of potential off-road tracks last night while puttering around the western edge of the map, so maybe I can make something else more fitting.  I'm just tired of the same old, same old - city streets, turns on hill tops...

Thanks for looking and I'll submit another shortly.  In the mean time, I'm taking part in this Saturday's Malicious Intent event.  We'll see what everyone says after that.  If they agree with you, I'll prolly just keep this one for my friends and focus on a new track altogether.  ^_^

You may want to have a look at these jobs http://socialclub.ro...games/gtav/jobs for inspiration (dig a bit deeper past the first 1-2 pages for lots of offroad inspiration). If you find any really good ones in that bunch please do nominate them here.

Drag Kings of Los Santos - Broughy1322

This race has kept me from playing all of Broughy his content. This sentiment dates back to the early days of the creator where he posted this track the day after I posted my drag race named Los Santos Drag Kings. I really felt he copy catted the name and as such avoided all his content. Then there is also the issue that this race has nothing to do with Drag Racing, it's a Street Racer race. That said and out of the way, I had to push those feelings aside and give it an honest look. Besides it could simply be a two minds think alike kinda thing. I was pleasantly surprised with this one, it's a fun track where I especially liked the loop through the downtown LSC area. One major checkpoint issue though with the last hard right before the finish line, if you move that checkpoint to the left out of the corner and then add another one on the other side of the corner you'll achieve the same but with having the checkpoint visible. As it is now, that turn comes as a complete surprise because you cant see the checkpoint. A smaller issue are the missing GTA elements (if you dont like GTA elements you can simply add weapon refills/pickups such as sticky bombs and the like).

Vote: Conditional Yes, condition being the checkpoint before the finish line needs fixing.

Party in Paleto Bay - Broughy1322

Fun and well made bike race in the Paleto area. Can't fault it. Only small comment I have are the missing GTA elements.

Vote: Yes

Mall or Nothing - Broughy1322

Copy of the GTA Online Lamar tutuorial race (is it an exact replica?). Well made and fun. Again no GTA elements though.

Vote: Yes

Los Santos Gran Prix - Broughy1322

My absolute favorite out of the bunch, way better then Laguna Seca imho. Very nicely made and very well placed props. GTA elements awalk.

Vote: Yes

Ridge Racer - MC_John_117

This style of race is absolutly not my cup of tea, so it's very hard to give a non biased review of it. There are some checkpoint issues but then again it's hard to judge wether it's been the intend of the creator for it be an adventure/puzzle race, because if so then the checkpoints are fine. It really is more of a puzzle/adventure race then being trully raceable. If that's been the intend then it succeeded, keep playing and enjoying it! With one of the main requirements for certification being that the race should be raceable I'm sad to say I had to no vote this.

Vote: No

Thanks Dr. I will update the votes.

I will switch up the nominations as usual when I get home.

We cant really do conditional votes so I am going to put that as a no and hope he resubmits after adjusting.

Just a note...didnt that race pass the Tranny club near LSC? Maybe that was the inspiration rather than drag racing.

Dr I can assure you that Broughy didn't copy from you. His inspiration was from a track from GTA IV. Something like Drag Kings of Liberty City. As for Mall or Nothing, he was curious as to why R* didn't put it in after the tutorial, so he made it exactly like the original.

Check, he even says so in his description. Silly coincidence. I derived the name from an actual drag race. That said I persist that Street Kings of Los Santos would have been a more fitting name. :D Cool, i figured it was an exact replica, sweet job he did on it and yes it's wierd Rockstar didnt include the race themselves.

Question: Is 3.02 miles too long for a lap race?

Depends on the race. 3 miles of highway sucks ass...3 miles of interesting race is fine. I have a 5 mile lap race lol. Just set it to one lap and let people decide for themselves.

Alamo to Ocean - N

Too many checkpoints...seemed really familiar...isn't there a Rockstar race along this path?

Blockbuster - N

Spelling error in description. Hard right into the studio with the whole field isn't good. Got lost at least twice due to waypoints.

Burger Run - Y

Could use a little more warning before a left turn near the end but otherwise good motorcycle race.

Can't A-Ford to Lose - N

Too many checkpoints. Need to move the checkpoint sitting on the drainage pipe.

Creeky Deeky - Y

No complaints. Offroad race.

Farm Fresh - Y

Touch heavy on checkpoints but not too bad. great locale. offroad.

Holy Rollers - N

Start grid puts left side through light poles to get to checkpoint. Freeway portion was a long add on to an otherwise good track. checkpoints way spread out.

Morning wood - Y

Great street track

Pillbox - N

There are some checkpoint issues in the section on the elevated road with the median holes.

RGR - N

Last left turn checkpoint before the end needs to be pulled in. All three racers on this turn either missed checkpoint or overshot corner.

Rise From - Y

Awesome.street

Rockford - Y

Short description. Original line choices, nice layout. street

Round the lake - Y

Great different locale. MC

Run to hills - Y

Well made offroad track

short C 1 - Y

Why offroad? good layout and checkpoints

SC 2 - Y

Solid with motorcycles

SC 3 - Y

Solid with Motorcycles

SC 4 - Y

Tight turny course that seemed super was too fast for...but it had options...some of the corners were short on warning time but not much you could do.

Subway Sweep - N

Tunnels in cars...It was a complete crash fest and no one belongs in a race in those tunnels much less in a car...I wouldn't subject my ex wife to that track.

The Los Santos - Y

I would have used the turn lanes in some of the sharper turns but it was good nonetheless

Tinted - N

Entrance to the drain was unexpected and very unclear. Need to find another approach...maybe from the other direction. The exit from the drain also was a bit of a mess. I really enjoyed the road portions though.

Morningwood Grand Prix- Checkpoint 28 is a little far to the left but is lined up well with the turn. Overall a good race.- Y

Rockford Hills GP- Quick turn from checkpoint 12 to 13, overall still good.Y

Short Circuit 1- Not sure why off-road is default choice on an all road track. Probably a bit too long for cycles/utility. - Y

Short Circuit 2- Check-pointing is fine, fine route, no issues with this. Y

Short Circuit 3-Not much that could go wrong. Large circle. It's technically sound, but low on replay value. But then again, people played criminal records over, and over, and over, so slight yes on this. Y

Short circuit IV- Mostly fine with the quick turns except checkpoints 5-6. There's pretty much no warning with that turn IMO. Going to go No on this one. N

Pillbox GP-  Transition from checkpoint 6 to 7 is way to sharp. Nearly no time to react without hitting the median. Right now it's a no. N

Alamo to Ocean - N

Too many checkpoints...seemed really familiar...isn't there a Rockstar race along this path?

-Checkpoints are due to the windy course, want to make sure they properly guide people through the turns. Took out about 4 of them. As far as a Rockstar race, not one along that course that I'm aware of.

Blockbuster - N

Spelling error in description. Hard right into the studio with the whole field isn't good. Got lost at least twice due to waypoints. -PM which ones and I'll make the adjustments.

Can't A-Ford to Lose - N

Too many checkpoints. Need to move the checkpoint sitting on the drainage pipe. -Holding off on adjustments to this one for now.

Holy Rollers - N

Start grid puts left side through light poles to get to checkpoint. Freeway portion was a long add on to an otherwise good track. checkpoints way spread out. -Fixed the starting grid. Freeway was a choice other than through the mountains, several of my tracks go through the mountains. Spread out the checkpoints due to track length.

RGR - N

Last left turn checkpoint before the end needs to be pulled in. All three racers on this turn either missed checkpoint or overshot corner. - Checkpoint is now near the edge of the ramp.

Subway Sweep - N

Tunnels in cars...It was a complete crash fest and no one belongs in a race in those tunnels much less in a car...I wouldn't subject my ex wife to that track. - Heh well this was a longshot due to the pain it is to race in that location. I may have to add the ex wife quote to the track description.

Tinted - N

Entrance to the drain was unexpected and very unclear. Need to find another approach...maybe from the other direction. The exit from the drain also was a bit of a mess. I really enjoyed the road portions though. -Extended the track to loop back around before the drain section so that it is now on the right. Don't have many more options to exit the drain aside from switching to the exit method used in the Quick Getaway race.

This post slipped by me somehow. Yeah I will add that one to the next nominated list...and you are welcome to be the forth judge if you like. We will just need to see that you continue to vote as we nominate new tracks. If there are a lot of nominations it could be a nightly thing or could be two or three nights between. Just try to get your tests and votes in as soon as possible after the nominations are updated.

Three yes votes out of the 4 judges will count as approved.

Hey Dr. speaking of votes...? :)

Alamo to Ocean

Direct copy of a Rockstar race with shifted grid and shifted finish as if the entire races was shifted back (might not be intentional).

Vote: No

Blockbuster

Not going to say a whole lot about this one other then... It doesn't work.

Vote: No

Burger Run

Good description, GTA race on motorcyles. Fun.

Vote: Yes

Can't A-Ford to Lose

Sandking race around the Fort Zancudo area, only allowing stock Sandking XLs. Default of 2 laps is too high. Bit heavy on the checkpoints, especially checkpoint 2 or 3 is easy to miss when going full throttle (due to turning circle of sandking). I've played it about 5 times through and only managed to get the checkpoint once in the first lap. If that first checkpoint is fixed and the default number of laps is brought down to 1 I'm voting Yes. But as it is it get's a no.

Vote: No

Creeky Deeky Canyon Run

Offroad race using the road next to the canyon and the other side of it. However the 2 lap default seems to be a over the top. Classiffies right up there with the round the world races from a originality point of view. Yet it is well made and it works. I would play it again.

Vote: Yes

Farm Fresh

Challening offroad race for motorcycles. Contains very hard sections but different and fun.

Vote: Yes

Holy Rollers

No GTA mode catered for. Good description. A point to point endurance type super car race, well built, with the only real gripe traffic being set to off on default which does turn this into a snore fest.

Vote: Yes

RGR- Exhaust Flames

Descriptive description. GTA race for muscle cars, purely weapon based. Sadly no sticky bombs as pickups. It's a decent enough track, but for a GTA race to work really well you need the players to keep coming accross each other else it's just a matter of who manages to get clear of the pack wins it. As such no love from me.

Rise From your Grave

Good description, point to point race for coupes. Default traffic off really should be on for these type of races imho. Well made.

Vote: yes.

Round the lake

Solid description. Motorcycle race around the lake in Vinewood hills. Challenging, different and fun.

Vote: Yes

Run to the hills

Decent description, offroad race, default laps 2. Well built, fun normal offroad race sticking to roads. 2 lap default is too mych though. 1 lap is fun, 2 makes it boring.

Subway Sweep

Great description. Very well designed track through the subways... In sports cars... Even racing this solo it's a crash fest. This might actually be better the races Rockstar created going through the subway tunnels. That said I don't like it and I don't see it working with any vehicle. I would never ever play this again, as such even though it's been very well made I'm having to no vote it. That said I'm also a firm believer that Rockstar should delete their own races through the tunnels. If anything if I were forced to play any of these again I'd opt for this one over the Rockstar ones anyday.

The Los Santos Triangle

Decent description, 0.82 mile race, 4 lap default, Super cars, 1-16 players.A designed circuit track. Props well used. Checkpoint 7 could do with being removed imho. I really dont like the crossover the grass though, plus having serious doubts this will work with 16 players I'm going to have to no vote it.

Tinted Panes and Drains

The section going from race into the Drain doesnt work, raced this with creator rest of feedback known to him.

Morning wood Grand prix

GTA mode has not been catered for. Description does not state much other then F1 style track. It's such a shame that the creator didnt put in a little more effort towards the descriptions of his tracks. Default car class Super, 1 lap, 2.04 miles, 1-12 players. Props are heavily used in order to create the track, allthough nott the most prettiest props, they have been placed really well and accurate. Checkpoints are all clear and well placed. My least favorite out of the Grand Prix series but still a very nice and well built race.

Pillbox hills Grand prix

GTA mode has not been catered for. Description does not state much other then F1 style track. Default car class Super, 1 lap, 1.79miles, 1-12 players. Props are heavily used in order to create the track, allthough no the most prettiest props, they have been placed really well and accurate. Creating a fun, true F1 style track that even has a couple of S-turns. Checkpoints are all clear and well placed.

Rockford Hills Grand prix

GTA mode has not been catered for. Description does not state much other then F1 style track. Default car class Super, 1 lap, 3.14 miles, 1-12 players.Props are heavily used in order to create the track, clearly the creator had a shortage of props he needed but still succeeded in building a nice track. Checkpoints are all clear and well placed.

Short Circuit 1

GTA mode has not been catered for. Again not much of a description. Default class Super, 1 lap,  1-12 players. Fun little circuit, built in the docks, basicly a square, well used props. Maybe a little bit heavy on the checkpoints (especially those before the corner checkpoint) but that is nitpicking. Only real concern I have is racing this with 12 players, that might be a bit too crowded. I'd say 8 people max on this track.

Short Circuit 2

GTA mode has not been catered for. Not much of a description. 0.68 miles, motorcycles, 1 lap, 1-12 players. Again well built track in the docks, but boy is it frustrating touching the blue barriers and dying from it on your motorcyle. 12 players seems silly for this very small track, would take a quarter of the track just with the grid. It's fun though and as such it gets my thumbs up.

Vote: Yes

Short Circuit 3

GTA mode has not been catered for. Not much of a description. 1.08 miles, Super, 1 lap, 1-12 players. Again well built track in the docks that turns out to be a lot of fun.

Vote: Yes

Short Circuit 4

GTA mode has not been catered for. Not much of a description. 1.21 miles, 1 lap, Super, 1-12. Well built track in the docks, fun with a couple of people but I really fail to see this one working out with a full house, that will turn this into a crash fest. Especially the first half of the track.
