Yeah my next car is going to be a 156. I'm gonna try to buy a decent one for about 1000 euros and then put the brown and black interior in it that was originally only on the GTA version (no relation to grand theft auto). They're surprisingly easy to find for about 500 euros.
I would buy a 159 but they're pretty expensive. They look very similar though. I would really like to see a new sedan by Alfa Romeo, 159 was the last one I think and that has been out for quite a while.
Have you ever pushed it to top speed? My 155 could do 215 km/h. I had the 2.0 liter version. I'm a little ashamed I didn;t recognise your car because the 159 sedan is probably my most desirable car. Just look at it. Italian design at its finest. I will have it some day.
The 156 is a really nice car, I have owned a 156 2.5 V6 sedan, still one of my favorite cars. You should look for a 156 with the TI package, they come with a nice leather interior, skirts and 19" wheels.
The 159 is a bit bigger and heavier, I did 250km p/h in Germany but ran out of 'Autobahn', It should go slightly faster than that. I also did outrun a Audi SQ5 from 100-200km but my engine is mapped.
I don't really care about the interior because I'm gonna replace it with the one I posted anyway. The 19 inch wheels sound good though and the skirts too. I do definately want one from after 2005 (or was it 2003? don't remember) because they got a facelift then and I like the second version better, especially the dashboard and stuff.
250 km/h is really fast. I didn't think it would go that fast. I also tried my little citroen saxo on the autobahn and all I got out of it was 160, lol. Must have been a funny sight to see such a little car shooting past at 160 km/h though.
What does a mapped engine mean?
A little detail which I really love about the 156, is how the rear door handles are sort of hidden. It's a shame they didn't do that on the 159. I think it looks very sleek.
