They have said absolutely nothing about this game and where it's going at all. Nothin about heists, CnC, drug dealing, casino. Nothin at all. Give us some f*cking info for shot sake.

Anyone heard anything new about upcoming events in this game?

No, it's never going to live up to the hype. 4 months and we've received a broken bottle, a pea shooter, some sh*tty cars and crap hair cuts.

And don't blame it on the "hackers", they've only been a real problem since around xmas.

Not problems that should halt the development progress of a game which has earned Rockstar billions.

What has that got to do with developing new content? It's not hard to have one group fixing (easy) bugs whilst another focuses on new content.

As I said, this game earned them billions, hence the rate at which they're working is appalling. Free to play game developers have their sh*t sorted faster than this.

I'd love new content just as much as you mate, but i'd much rather play that new content when the game actually works properly rather than have it finished half-arsed. I guess thats what i'm trying to say. If you don't agree, then thats fine. The game was'nt ready for heists, although now, it seems were getting close. :)

I fully agree! This crap about keeping us in the dark is a huge turn off.

Almost makes me believe they gave up on this before it was even launched.

Time is definitely running out for a quick fix, no doubt.

As said, ironing things out first would be ideal as they are doing, hopefully it's not kept quiet for another few months before we hear something.

You raise a valid point here, and I would agree this is almost certainly the case. Pretty much every "triple AAA" studio operates in a similar manner.

They likely have two teams for new content though. One working on the major content expansion (AKA the paid dlc) and another working on the free content for online (heists etc). I suspect that, with all the trouble the online aspect of GTA V has had, they might have re-purposed some of that second team, to get on top of things, hence the delay.

I don't like the trickle of information so far about heists and other online related stuff, but keeping one's cards close to their chest has been the modus operandi for Rockstar for over a decade. It's doing more harm than good in this instance, IMO.

Ugh stop f*cking whining about heists, you're only going to say they suck when they finally do get released.

I think people are getting too hyped up for the heists.

I'm sure they will be fun, but they aren't going to be huge 30 minutes missions which earn you hundreds of thousands of dollars and thousands of RP. If that were the case, then why would anyone ever do anything other than heists?

I have a feeling they will be one of two things:

1. They are essentially glorified store robberies, where you can hold up the cashiers, hack a control pad to get into a vault, grab bags of money, then escape the police, earning you around 20,000 to 40,000 dollars, and a couple of thousand RP.

OR

2. Time limited (e.g only available once per month on a certain day, like the weekend events), same as above but paying out a little more, maybe up to 80,000.

I think its more likely to be the second one, that there will be "Heist Weekend Events" every so often when you can perform heists.

I agree, this long wait is probably hyping people even more (despite the fact that they are tired of waiting of course), and when heists finally arrives and they are not very difficult to complete, you have only two execution options (loud or silent), they pay each participant 50k and one week cooldown - sh*t is gonna rain either way, so many people are going to hate heists no matter what.

(none of the above statements are of course facts, I'm just guessing realistically or perhaps cynically).

On the other hand, I think we are getting close to new content. I see something being posted on the newswire later this week, to be released next week!

The game is what it is. If you are expecting more, then you're expecting too much.

"Rockstar games will be constantly developing new content for you to enjoy on GTA Online" - GTA Online trailer chick

The only real changes ive noticed are the sns pistol , broken bottle, pink/purple clothes shoved into our inventory, every deathmatch is a user created fist fight or tank fight now, and they replaced baldness with corn rows.
