Do you know what people, I was just trying to help. Not sure why it has touched a nerve with some of you. Now, not that I should have bothered after the last few responses, but here is a link giving you some basic tips:

http://www.nhs.uk/Li...aningguide.aspx

Included in the above is that it IS damaging to brush your teeth straight after a meal and you should brush your teeth BEFORE breakfast!

My dentist has never told me brushing after breakfast was bad so I'm slightly more inclined to believe him over some kid linking to some website on the internet.

Seriously though, what is your purpose for being a member here? This is a forum dedicated to Grand Theft Auto. Can't you be a normal member for once and discuss GTA instead of pretending to to be a dentist and lecture people on their brushing habits.

I haven't added anything to a GTA discussion in 4 months. I'm not a normal member either, I guess.

Stormerboy, my dentist told me to brush 3 times a day at the least, and my teeth are in good shape. Brushing after a meal is common sense. Brushing before breakfast is good but doing it after is a must. And G whiz, I would not want to be around you, you'd be the type to have his breathe smelling like old sh*t by 11 o' clock. :barf:

How often do you brush your teeth?

At some point I did slow down but lately I've been brushing at least twice a day.

Do you use a manual or electric toothbrush?

Always have been using a manual one

If you brush in the morning, do you brush before or after you eat?

I actually didn't think I'd ever see this question because I thought it was just a weird habit of mine, I always brush AFTER I eat because whenever I brush before eating I end up losing my appetite or

I end up throwing up halfway during the brushing.

Do you brush your tongue?

Yes, always have but never after eating as it leads to me throwing up as well.

I brush three times a day. You have to have nice teeth. If your have ugly nasty teeth, it won't matter how nice you are, we will poke fun at you every chance you're not around.

I brush about twice a day. Once in the morning and once at night. Very rarely do I brush once a day but it has happened a few times in the past. Likewise, there are rare times when I brush three times a day. All depends on what's gone in my mouth that day if I brush twice or three times.

I always brush my tongue, it just feels cleaner that way.

I use a manual brush. Used to have an electric one but I didn't like it.

3-4 times a day.

Manual (electric toothbrushes are for pussies, if you know what I mean).

Both.

Yes, yellow tongues are gross.

How often do you brush your teeth?

Once a day. My teeth are fine though and I use rinse in the evenings.

Do you use a manual or electric toothbrush?

Manual.

If you brush in the morning, do you brush before or after you eat?

Yes.

Do you brush your tongue?

Not anymore. I used to but then quit after I almost choked on my toothbrush.

Three times per day. Anything less is not hygenic.

I will concede that brushing 3 times a day is good, but too many times is damaging.

My dentist tells me my teeth are brilliant, no joke. Partly because I was born with good teeth and partly because I look after them.

Fact is, brushing your teeth straight after eating is damaging, it's a fact. I know you all like to leave the house each morning with a nice minty feeling in your mouth, maybe it's a sort of security blanket? I don't know. But you are probably doing more harm than good.

On a side note, I don't know how so many of you claim to brush your teeth after lunch each day? Unless you are working from home or home schooled? Do you carry a toothbrush and toothpaste to work?

Feel free to prove me wrong with some external links.

Lots of love

How often do you brush your teeth?

Once a day. With the way my teeth are, it wouldn't matter if I brushed them twenty times a day.

Do you use a manual or electric toothbrush?

Manual.

If you brush in the morning, do you brush before or after you eat?

Before.

Do you brush your tongue?

Yes.

I brush my teeth once a day. Quite rarely twice.

I use a manual toothbrush.

I brush before I have my breakfast.

I don't brush my tongue because it makes me choke.

I chew on freshly-slaughtered cats to remove any lingering plaque. The fur really gets into those hard-to-reach places.

The fact is that you are a lunatic. I'm not going to listen to some random on an internet forum telling me how I should brush my teeth, ESPECIALLY if he thinks leaving my mouth stinky and dirty after breakfast is recommended. f*ck no...

I rarely brush prior to eating, but when I do my food tastes unsatisfying. On a different note, I am genuinely surprised at how many of you all think it is unnecessary to brush your tongue. Yeah it does not clean anything teeth related, but your breathe won't be that fresh if you do not brush your tongue. I mean it takes 5 extra seconds to brush it, come dafuq on.

After analyzing most of your posts here in this forum, I've reached a conclusion that you have 95% of chances of developing cirrhosis.

Have a nice day.

1) Only at evenings mostly, I'm too lazy to open my mouth in the mornings. Joke. But anyway, it's not what I'm used to do... I've learned to brush 'em only in the mornings.

2) Manual now... I prefer electric but bleh. It doesn't matter. It kind of changes from time to time.

3) If I had to brush in the mornings, probably before.

4) Sometimes.

I only drink on weekends. And beer mostly..

Except xmas, new years eve and my b-day. Vodka and whiskey will be involved.

Now I regret opening this topic. It made me place the tip of my tongue onto one broken tooth, and suck forcefully. Bloody mess.

Broken tooth sure does not like cold minus temperatures.

Try not going to far back when you brush your tongue. I sometimes choke too but I would like to have a clean tongue no matter what.

Depends on the mood: 3x a day, sometimes 2x a day.

Manual of course. I hate using the electric one since it doesn't really clean much of your teeth and it's scripted to do so. Also it's a burden.

After every meal, so after breakfast.

Depends.
