Might get corrected on this but I think the Futo only drives sideways. Not managed to get it to drive in a straight line yet anyway.

Using the sultan? It's 4 wheel drive lol. It's great for drifting round corners, but there's no way it can drift.

Futo is probably the best that I've tried.

This.. The closest you can get to drifting is with a Futo or the Sentinel XS both fully modded.

GTA driving mechanics do NOT support drifting.. only power sliding and AT SOMETIMES, BUT HIGHLY RARELY a real drift. (The only way you can do a real drift in GTA is if it was out of luck, or you have been practicing A LOT and you are skilled at trying to do so. I can drift for real when using specific cars and if I try hard.)

We're stuck driving automatic so drifting isn't even feasible.

Not just that... It's the whole concept of driving in GTA. This GTA IS EXTREMELY UNREALISTIC with physics and cars.

But like I said.. you can still drift if skilled and have the right car with the right mods.

Edit: Also drifting in a 3rd person camera? ROFL.. You need a 1st person view for drift anyways.

As pointed out above, there is no drifting in GTA. the current game engine physics and mechanics negate the very possibility.

Though, if you do like going sideways briefly for the lols, a Sabre Turbo, Futo and Banshee are all pretty fun to play with.

The back end of my Dominator loses traction at just the thought of actually turning into a curve.  If you could learn to control the crazy thing, it might make a good drift car.

I suppose by now, some good drift races have been user-created.  Anyone have recommendations?  Drift King is getting old.  :colgate:

I created one called 'Vinewood Drift."

If you have seen Fast and Furious Tokyo Drift and you remember the ending at the mountain, you will love Vinewood Drift because it's just like that.

I've learned how to kick the transmission up and down, so that's not an issue. I murder turns in my Futo.

I'm not sure what kind of drift you talking about, but 9F is quite easy to drift 4 wheels through the corner Rallye style.

Sabre, Carbonizzare do power drift with tuner tyres fitted. But ultimately not as fun. 9F however operates in drift mode at higher speeds, but drift is created not through acceleration torque but by distribution of momentum (brake-steer-slide-gas).

You dial into it, you get tonnes of crew smoke through corners GTA style.

Proper bad arse.

I like the Elegy RH8, I can drift it around the corners in Drift King quite well with a deft touch on the throttle & steering.  I'm usually in the top 3 if I don't F up somewhere along the way.  I've tried with the dominator, and I may as well be trying to drive on ice with wheels made of ice.

Oh, and the Rhino can drift nicely if you get enough speed going downhill with a tail wind.

Im telling you, that is not possible intended. But it can come out of luck OR if your skilled enough you can make it happen once or twice.

Dominator has no traction in corners. I guess that's drifting.

When I drove it I had to keep it slow, even. I hate drifting. It's the bane of Gran Turismo players.

Good choice in the two cars.  Bad choice on their tailpipes.

Being a Asian I must point out, Drift King is no f*cking where near a drift track.. Only thing close to a drifting circuit is because of its location. At the docks.

The Vacca drifts about the best from my experience. The Feltzer and Carbon do very well too.

I agree with you, but what does being Asian have to do with it?

Futo hands down. No other car can match it's type of handling unless you're getting into Muscles - which frankly ain't cutting it for a Drifter (at least in my mind).
