Wondering why no one ever uses the rapid gt? It's statistically the fastest and best sports class car according to the charts. Is the handling really that bad? I like the fact that on missions it's harder to get shot out by npc and the AI in general. Your thoughts on the rapid gt?

I love it but the handling is just, ugh! I pick the surano over it anyway. It's equally as fast and pretty good handling.

I pretty much only buy/save cars with armoured rear windows, thats why.

Except for my Ruiner/Phoenix and Banshee with glitched on black windows.

Yes with the fold up doors like in real life. :-)
Does any other cars have that npc glitch like the rapid gt?

The surano is really under-appreciated :/. I should make an appreciated thread about the surano!

It has the turning radius of a Hotknife/a bus.

I like it but it's a little boring.

I've got one in British Racing Green. I've always had a soft spot for the Aston Martin lookalikes, but this is a bit uglier than the old Super GT in my opinion. I have fun with it in free roam doing it's job as a grand tourer, but in races I find it way too heavy to be competitive. That said, I've been grinding Down The Drain for RP recently, and my Rapid laps that faster than my Vacca. If you can deal with its weight, it's a hell of a car.

I had one until more or less 30 minutes.

I bought it with the hacked money because I liked how it looked and needed another super for my garage, but I had never actually took it for a ride.

It might be fast, but it handles terribly. Way too unresponsive at high speeds (shame because it can go really really fast in no time) and even also at low speeds sometimes. It reminds me of the cruiser vehicles in Jak 2 for the PS2.

I'm not exactly and easy-mode driver, I usually drive around in a Comet/Sabre/Phoenix, but I just couldn't find any use for it. If I ever need a fast car I will have my Cheetah delivered, which handles much better and is just as fast or more.

Ever had once. I love how it can be the horse among horses, but well.... I can't turn the car properly.

It's a great car. I think it's the front that puts people off though. The grills just look a little weird, in my honest opinion.  - I wish there was a mod to change the front to more of an Aston Martin design. :)

Because its 4 door cousin, the Exemplar is far more superior.

The Rapid GT and Exemplar look like aliens.  This is why I never owned either of them, lol.

It's a brilliant vehicle if you've decided that turning just isn't your thing.

Why down the drain?

I've read on here it gives a decent RP to time spent ratio. I only do five or six lap races to pass the time between selling cars in free mode and if none of my friends are about to do missions. It's like a little time trial I set for myself and it's helped me find the strengths and weaknesses in my vehicles.

what kind of RP payout do you get with that?

They took an Aston Martin, smashed it with a brick a few times cut 2 holes in the front (supposedly vents) with a steak knife, got a picture of bigfoot and modeled the hood and quater panels of it. Voila the Rapid Gt

It's definitely one of my favorite sports tier cars. I got the 9F Cabrio and Sultan so I was thinking of making the Rapid GT my 2nd chars sports car. If we ever get another garage I will definitely be adding it to my collection. Definitely going to go with the Rapid GT Cabrio. Gotta love that robo-roof.

To me, the whole brand is ugly and identical. Low customization options too.

The reason most dont drive the Rapid is because they dont know how to drive. The Rapid GT will beat most cars in a drag race.

I have one, and its four door counterpart the Exemplar. Great cars, if you know how to drive.

(Im talking about the ones who push the gas and dont let off. you know, the ones who run into every light pole, the ones who flip their cars on every turn. you know the ones)

The exemplar seems to have better handling and it's larger. So anyone else think that as well

I was never fond of them because aesthetically they just look horrid imo. Front end looks like it has down syndrome and the body is a shoe box with wheels.

It's a great car...if you can drive.

I use something called the break which allows you to slow down - like in real life - to complete manoeuvres.

IF you get the hang of it, powerslide around turns using the R1/X (for ps3...probably A and RT for Xbox) then go full power and you'll fly forward. One of my favourite cars in the sports class. Grotti Carbioneazzare(spelling) is pretty much the polar opposite in terms of handling but very nice also!

I also like the fact it's based off a Aston Martin, sounds great and looks really nice in Green or Silver!
