When will they make BAWSAQ available? I always played missions even when I had half a billion in the bank but now that I am at $900,000 from playing a lot today, its very hard to keep money with the price of ammo increasing every time you level up, I'm only lvl 51 but I still spend over $20,000 at a time on ammo than only make ~$15,000-$30,000 by the time to buy again, and my accuracy is 40% so I'm not a bad shot.

I could have sworn it was supposed to eventually be available for GTA Online, but I have heard people say that it's only supposed to be for Story Mode...

Supposedly the purchasing and selling done online (among other actions) affects the BAWSAQ in Story Mode. I don't know how often it's updated, because clearly you can play Story Mode without being connected to the internet.

If the online data is in fact being used, it should be possible to offer the same BAWSAQ for GTA Online. I understand why Rockstar would want to wait until the hacked money was wiped, so maybe sometime in the next few months we will see the BAWSAQ released.

They were going to, I think they changed their mind.

Stocks would be a way to keep your money safe and potentially make money on your money.

Stash all your money and you won't have to pay all the petty little fees they put in.  No insurance fees when you take out another players ride.  No death fee.  No mechanic or utility fee.

They're protecting their Cash Cards.

Oh God, if they add the stock market to online? I can become legit super rich... Back when Pisswasser dropped and raised, I went from 36 million to 1.7 billion in single player in one go!

as much as i hate it, i think they would try to push the cash card a bit more...

i predict payouts would get nerfed again, ammo, clothing and overall cost of living in LS would increase, in a last ditch effort for the cash card.

casino if ever arrive, would have a very low betting limit, like the $2,500 one we have now, making the casino more of grind.

heist if ever arrive, would either be limited to participate in 1 heist every X amount of real life days, payouts dor sure would suck.

R* have more chances of making better money by selling in-game items like gun accesories, special car mods an stuff like that for .99¢ each.

chrome is a way showing of the wealthy status, for sure this players that love chrome would open up their wallet to buy the latest item that would showoff their wealth.

I wouldn't be surprised if we never see BAWSAQ in GTA Online, because it has the potential to break the whole economy. Everyone would be a multi-millionaire in days, similar to how a lot of people made billions in Single Player. R* has to figure this out first, or it just wouldn't work. Also, if they would add it, we obviously needs something to spend it on. Big mansions, $10.000.000 cars, properties etc.

I realize that your comment was meant to be funny/sarcastic. But I think it's very sad that people believe that gambling (casino, sports betting) is safer and gives you better odds that investing in stocks IRL.

I would encourage you to do some reading before you plant an anchor on your casino gambling belief.

As far as investing in real life. Make a dry portfolio with no money invested, and see how well you do before you invest any real money. That's where most people  mess up. That and quite a few other things you should do such as company research, their quarterly earnings reports, their dividends, etc. etc. Nowadays you probably won't see another Apple or Google for quite a long time if ever again. So you needs lots of $ to make lots of $. The only way you'll get rich on penny stocks is if you have some sort of illegal information, because 98% of them suck.

The stock market was the most intriguing aspect of GTA Online and is the single most aspect I was looking forward to. Now that I understand what a Fluster Cuck this game is, was, and always will be I have some simple solutions that will never be heard, incorporated, or experienced.

1. The game needs regularly added "new" items for purchase. The reason the "economy" in the game is poo poo is because after a set number of purchases, it's over. New items could be skins for vehicles/weapons. New cars. New upgrades for existing cars. The ability to customize your apt. and so on.

2. The game needs money sinks or drains, or whatever you want to call them. Maybe higher risk missions that require higher entry fees. It needs something that will tempt players to risk their bankrolls.

3. More social activities. aside from the strip club and apt. there isn't a "safe" place to hangout out and chill with your crew. Sure, I've done the private lobby bmx/water sport/extreme skydiving thing but I would suggest night clubs, bars, and actual recreational events. This may seem to be a bit to second life or sim city, but GTA Online is flirting with those elements already. For those of you hardcore GTA fans that want the game to return to it's criminal mayhem roots, I would also suggest "heists".

Beyond that, I think the game should do more with the police. It would be cool to visit a friend in jail and bail him out. Or hire NPC's as your crew.  just some thoughts.....

TLDR

Stock market would be awesome, but this game is not built for it.

I agree with most of your comment. But I remember the internet bubble in 1999 when Yahoo was the hottest thing around. Don't be so sure that there will never be another google or apple.

Yes, IRL investing is a long game. If you want to day trade, you'll need a lot of capital as well as calculators. The simplest way to invest is in mutual funds (slow growth) and S&P 500 SloGro fund is a very safe bet over 20 years. It will yield close to 20%. Also, you reinvest earnings for exponential gains. Or you could just invest in Coca Cola.
