Is there a way to disable or stop the car from automatically turning the wheels for me? It's insanely annoying that the car corrects any slide with no input from me. I've also had the car drive automatically around another player during a race, which I hope is a glitch.

There is no auto-steer.  It's just physics.

Drive around and pull the handbrake, don't touch the joystick and watch the wheels, the car corrects itself. I don't know how often the auto pass works.

I would imagine you have just damaged your front wheel causing your car to veer off to one side.

I have raced more than anything else in this game, and never have I ever had an "Auto pass".

Very strange.

Goodluck.

Shouldn't this be in the Q&A thread? Why isn't this locked?

For real!! I just noticed recently how the game auto corrects oversteer when drifting with the e-brake. I was watching the front tire in slow-mo cinematic and noticed how the wheel was turning the opposite direction I was actually turning to 'auto' correct my drift. Drifting and driving altogether would be infinitely more rewarding if if didn't hold your hand the entire time. It's what made V feel so arcadey.

Really, really annoying, whenever I play racing games I turn off all assist options, I really wished R* had the same in their menus to turn off these crutches.
