Football contains athletes so superior they need to wear immense amounts of protective gear.

This is why Rugby players can't cut it playing Football. This is why Soccer players make for nifty little field goal kickers..

Thank GOD(S) for the NFL or we'd be stuck watching skinny guys kick a ball around for an hour hoping that just once it went into the net.

Wut. I played football in high school, and we had several guys play rugby. If anything, Rugby turned them into the most ferocious hitters on the squad.

Soccer (or Football, for you international folk) is insanely popular worldwide bro. It also requires an incredible amount of endurance. You ever run against a soccer player? They can run forever... only Basketball players can keep up.

I say Basketball because it requires an uncanny amount of running, jumping and sprinting. That really takes a toll on you legs to go for rebounds and go on fastbreaks, or rush back on defense. Basketball and soccer players can actually strive in many sports; just because they don't tackle, doesn't mean they're weak. Not everybody has a 40 inch vertical. sh*t, I only have a 28 inch. ._.

Fantastic point, and well made.

Rugby players know that rugby players can't cut it in the NFL.

Football players are bigger, faster, stronger.

Same goes for Football vs Soccer but hey, credit where credit is due: those Soccer jerseys sure do look pretty cool!

MANCHESTER UNITED!!

Here is all the padding NFL players need. Real athlete right here.

Football players are fatter, slower and play for a whole 5 minutes out of 4 hours.

Why the f*ck would any Rugby player want to play NFL anyway?

"you're on Billy Bob you go dun catch dat footbooowl ya hear? Den you gon come off and do jack sh*t for da next few hours"

Don't hate.

Football is YOLOSWAG

Soccer is full of angry racist fans and sh*tty refs.

Aside from Manchester United of course who are the only soccer team worth discussing.

It's great to see them sitting 7th on the Premier League Table - thanks to David Moyes lol.

I'm sorry that you can't enjoy real Football. You don't know what you're missing.

Um I went to a Portland Timbers game. Just seemed like a excuse to drink. Stoopid Timber tards. One doesn't need a reason to drink

I'll add something... if there is one NFL player that could have played Soccer, it would have been Jerry Rice.

It's bad enough sprinting up a 200 meter hill, but running the distance he did, ALL UPHILL... I'd want somebody to splatter me with a tank instead. Lmao

I hate football because people are extremely obssessed with it here in south america.
People get killed every week because you support the rival team.
Or if their team is not doing so good, they threaten the players or they go to the streets and destroy the neighbourhood, you know, vandalism, robbing stores, etc.

So yeah, life is quite exciting here.

Sounds like a GTA Dlc.

Starring a crazy football fan, a corrupt lawyer and a black neonazi. Because argies are all black and neonazis.

And who needs cheerleaders when you have some good ol porno.

Who needs cheerleaders when you're in the middle of a massive riot? Everyone is looting anyway, just snag a cheerleader when no one is looking.

As an Englishman who is lifelong Millwall supporter (those who know of their reputation, please don't judge me!) and as kid (14-18) who played American Football for my local amatuer side and fan of the New England Patriots since 1988 (the first game I saw as a child was Patriots @ Dolphins and I decided to follow the Pats as they had 'England' in their name - yeah, moronic I know) I would just like to add that BOTH sports have their place in the sporting world. American Football is far more popular here in the UK than some might think, leading to the Jaguars considering a franchise move to London due to the Wembley games selling out within minutes every year for the past few years.

One anecdote I would like to share is from ex-England Hooker Brian Moore who said "The difference between Football and Rugby is that footballers spend 90 minutes pretending they're injured, Rugby players spend 80 minutes pretending they're not!" which always made me chuckle.
