I'd make this a poll, but there is far too many to list and I'd like to start a discussion instead of just looking at numbers.

Now that we can add V to the mix, what's your favorite side activity in any GTA?

Mine, is still stealing cars for Stevie in IV. The first time through it was a lot of fun looking at the text picture and the paper map to figure out where the hell the car was. It's still fun now, to me anyway.

Home Invasions. Back in the SA days, thats where a majority of time was spent outside of missions, and how alot of my money was made. Would love to see them bring it back in HD glory.

Yeah I loved Stevie's vehicles too. Sure some were easy, but others were quite hard if you didn't know the city too well. Lots of fun. Shame there wasn't something like it in GTA V.

Actually I pretty much love all of GTA IV's side missions and IMO are the best in the series including those introduced via EFLC. Taxi missions are the only side missions I like from the 3D era.

Burglaries in SA were just nice. But I loved the "Trucking" side mission too, although it was poorly done. In trucking I always switched camera to first-person and it felt like I'm a real truck driver. The Billiard in SA was also nice.
Taxi driver missions in Vice City were funny and the robberies were awesome.
The empire building in VCS was also brilliant.
In IV, I didn't really enjoy side missions, however, Stevie's vehicle thefts were good.
And in V, I love all of them except Yoga.

Vigilante missions in IV. Really wish they had returned in V, especially with all the different police vehicles and weapons at your disposal.

Cab Driving from the III era and Vigilante from IV. Vigilante in IV is how vigilante should be done it could use a couple of improvements but it was well done in IV. I liked the cab driving missions only wish that we weren't timed the longer you take the more money you should get could also add to the experience if we had conversations with our passegners but thats pushing it...

Burglaries in san Andreas, taxi missions in IV, Lesters missions in V, but the best off all were the side missions in TBOGT. Drug wars, cage fighting and club management were all absolute mint.

I did enjoy the Club Management in TBoGT although I did have alot of fun doing taxi missons in GTA III, VC and SA. It was just something to do when I was bored and it was fairly easy / fun so it passed alot of time just dropping off passangers while listening to the ingame radio.

Vigilante but I haven't played it in GTA IV, what's it like? I really liked it in the old ones, and even more after adding some mods.

They're more varied in GTA IV. Through the police computer there's usually three scenarios to chose from.

-Gang activity. Which is a shootout with a random gang.
-Criminal on foot. As difficultly increases they have more powerful weapons.
-Stolen car. Car load of perps.

I would say pool. Loved it in SA and IV. Did it make it into V as well? I haven't played it yet so I don't know...

Anyway, at first I always thought the pool table in Playboy X's apartment was useless until I discovered (recently haha) that you can play pool there if you bring along a friend/girlfriend. Never knew about this before and I always wondered why they decided to put a useless pool table in there... Silly me.

Don't believe it did. Shame, really. I loved playing pool in GTAIV. Just hanging out with Packie at the Homebrew Cafe and listening to him throw his dummy in the dirt when he loses.

My favorite? Gang Wars in TLAD. It was fun building up and going to all lengths to keep your TLMC brothers alive during battle. Especially during the higher levels.

And then they'd all die in that bastard diamond mission anyway. What a waste.

Thought so. Well then hopefully they'll include it in the upcoming dlc maybe.

I know they had darts in V, but you had to drive all the way out to Sandy Shores to play it.

And to think the ONLY dartboard in the entire game is in some redneck bar in the desert!

Hunter (attack chopper) missions in Vice City and SA - blowing up cars with the rockets and chain gun was mad fun.

Probably Drug Dealing in CTW. I'm recently replaying that game and I can spend hours just stealing the vans or reading tip-off mails to drive and buy/sell particular substance. I would like to see that activity in some fully scaled GTA. It's one of the brightest points of CTW and with addition of few substances (i.e. meth) it could work really well and give hours of endless fun.

I couldn't agree more. I would love to see this feature bought to the big screen. Quite saddened by the fact I have no handheld platform like a 3DS or PSP to have indulged this feature in Chinatown Wars. Pretty damn sure if I had, I'd be in here singing it's praises. Oh well. I'll settle with Scarface: The World is Yours.
