^ Oh yeah.. endless hours on that Van City! Micro-Machines rule!

My brother had this same set, plus a bunch of others, but the only one I remember the name of is the gas can.

Spoiler

The only childhood nostalgia I have is when I'd mess with the order of his carefully placed cars and watch him flip out over it. Years later I'd sneak into his room and slightly move things over an inch or two, and shuffle his Playboys around.

Malcolm in the Middle was the sh*t back in the day. It got lame later on, but I enjoyed it overall.

God dammit, I love that show like everyday I would watch it on TV at 6:00 and at 7:00. Like this is way better than the new crap on TV now.

Legos, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, Mighty Max, Superman and Batman - Animated series, Yu-Gi-Oh cards, Bulls second three-peat... I actually miss all that, not just because of all those things, but because of that ''no-concerne'' period of time. I miss the 90's very much. After 1996, let's say 1997, the society started going downhill from there.

I recently watched all Malcolm in the Middle episodes, they're still kind of funny, but it did become crappier with Francis becoming more of a main character in my opinion.

Also this game with friends when I was like 10-years old:

Wasn't that the year TV's Frank left Mystery Science Theater 3000? 1996?

That's funny, I ( born in 86 ) came up with the same year as when things started to decline... to seem a little less... I don't even know. Everything, mainly music, seemed to lose it's own identity around that time and began to sort of blend together. I recently watched a couple documentaries about music - I think one was "Last Shop Standing" about independent record stores going out of business... and they brought up something I never heard of until then, signed in to office by Bill Clinton - the Telecommunications Act. A lot of people seem to blame this for the downward trend in music and TV. It just so happens that it was signed into law in........ 1996 hah.

Remember Pirates of Dark Water, doesn't seem like it was all that big, but I loved that show. Still have my Regular Nintendo, Super and 64 in working order.

I had the captain power ships and remember shooting the red dots on the tv when you played the VHS tapes.. I think these and dino riders where the only real action figure kind of toys I was into.. my cousin had the he-man and thunder cats stuff. I was never really into it.

This is easily one of the most most nostagic things from my childhood and also from my all-time memories. I rember it passing on TV from like late 1999/early 2000:

Hotwheels also played a big role in my childhood, as much as the PS1. Man, I used to love this game:

I played the game of Pirates of the Dark Water on the SNES, didn't know it was also a TV until years later.

Awesome game though.

Tale Spin

ts-group.jpg

Right on! I loved that show back in the day. I ordered the new boxset that came out recently so I could complete the collection. Rebecca Cunnigham was always my favorite character. It's kind of funny because I never had any idea that Sally Struthers was the one that provided the voice for her. I was always watching reruns of "All In The Family" as a kid, so I don't know how I missed that.

But before TaleSpin, there was this:

GetAlongGang.jpeg

I was a total Get Along Gang fanatic in the 80s. This is another show that I was able to revisit thanks to DVD's. The really cool thing about that was it had been such a long time since I watched it, it was like seeing it all for the first time all over again. Outside of maybe one or two stories, it's held up pretty well, in my opinion.

Someone did a 90s TV paint-edit of the recent Oscars selfie that Ellen DeGeneres did (reference) . It's so awesome because I remember all these shows, particularly Playdays where the bird in the back is from, and Art Attack. Mr Blobby aswell! Gladiators! Oh my, so nostalgic.
