A truck is meant to work I don't see a need for wood accents and blue accent lighting but honestly it looks like they put a ford logo on the front of a Toyota tundra but I do like those wheels I will assume those are the stock ones

Well, not all the trucks will have the interior package.. all of that costs more money. Chances are, that interior shot is from a King Ranch edition. But I've always been more of a Ford man, as far as trucks, I love them.

I'm more a fan and owner of an F-250, power, great off-road and just bigger and more room. I like the new line of 250's as well.. If business stays up, I may be trading in on a new model within the next year or two.

At first, I didn't like their new grilles and front end but it's growing on me:

It's made from aluminum rather than steel. That's why it's 700lbs lighter. I really like the redesign.

I'm not totally convinced by the front and grill. Like some other users have pointed, it may remind to a Toyota Tundra (in my opinion, Toyota Tundra design is a copy of the Ram...).

The rear with that chromed stripe reminds me to the old F-series trucks, I like it. The tail lights look also pretty cool.

Never seen the back of it.. wow, does look cool.. although I don't really like the exhaust.. Would prefer if it was attached to body like most modern cars today.. even though that is just my personal opinion and interest.

I was wondering why this new Ford looked so familiar!! I didn't understand why I felt like I'd seen it before, but now I remember seeing that F-150 Atlas months ago.

I like it. I mean, it is a truck. I've never seen a truck where form ever trumped over function (the SVT Lightning might be an exception). They do look more appealing to the eye than they used to, but that isn't it's purpose. That being said, this isn't the prettiest vehicle, but it is prettier than other trucks. Although, I really liked the 2006 Ram facelift.

Eh, that Atlas, as well as the Platinum series have always came across as wannabe Escalades or Hummers to me. Noone needs that much jazz.. though some like it. I rather have a truck I know that's going to get dirty, beat up and still look good. I'm not going to pay extra money on wood grain and chrome accents just to scratch it up at some point or get it dirty/muddy on a daily basis. I don't live in an environment that's necessarily the cleanest for vehicles.

@Hellraiser, I've always liked Dodge's as well, especially Rams. My cousin still has '98 Dodge Ram and it looks brand new. Long lasting trucks, which most trucks can last you a lifetime depending on the maintenance you give them or environments.. but I came close to buying a Ram 2500 but ended up purchasing my F-250.. but I don't regret it. Both trucks are nice and have great power and can scoot up the road if need be in no time.

I was planning on buying a new Ram 1500 in a couple years, but I may reconsider.  I really do like the new design.  And now being 700lbs lighter (the F150 was already lighter than the Ram to begin with).  Not sure about all the powertrains yet, but I couldn't go wrong with the 5.0.

This should tell you about all the stuff it has:

I like that pillarless double-door.

Given the design and all this aluminium...isn't this going to cost a lot more, even for the basic model?

I never understood the thing about trucks having column shifters. Only reason I wouldn't want a floor shifter is so that someone can sit in the center if need be. Other than that (and cup holders) I don't see why it matters.

I assume floor shifters only exist so manufacturers can use the same parts for automatic and manual cars.

I prefer having a center console rather than a bench seat.  It's not very often I have more than 4 passengers anyway.

Most bench seats do have center consoles in the picture I think it might just be folded up

Interesting that they've gone with chrome (appearance) bumpers, the F-150 must be one of the only cars to do that since the '70s.

It does look just right though.

Because it's made out of aluminum, it won't rust. That'll be great for plowing and all that sh*t they put on the roads. I just wish they would offer more V8 engine options.

Yup.. and it won't dent as much either, but the problem I can see is that not many shops are probably not able to repair it, since it is hard to mold

Walkaround the new Ford ...

Summary: Back bench seats with pull down cup holders, are roomy, chrome bed, Can come with 2 door variant, LED taillights and headlights.

Wow, I don't think I've seen a roomier back seat before, especially in a truck. I'm quite surprised.

Most bench seats do have a fold down seat back that will turn into an armrest with a storage compartment, but I just don't like how they look:

Here's the same model truck, but with a center console rather than bench seat:

Really like this truck. May test drive one and sell my Ranger if I'm in love enough.

Update: Has panoramic sunroof, Ecoboost models now have centered front license plate, rather than placed on side.

2015-Ford-F-150-spoiler-626x382.jpgThis "spoiler" helps make cleaner wind tunnel results. :)

Edit: Ford also said (forgot where I got this) that it will be CHEAPER to fix dents and stuff.
