I still haven't seen it, which explains my absence from this topic.  Every time I got the urge to see it, over the past month, nobody could go or wanted to go with me.  And I hate going to movies alone.

Chose a popular theater during prime time.

You'll end up feeling like you're in a blender of talking. Potential friends everywhere!

Unless you do what I did with the Lego Movie. I was literally the only person in the theater. Some poor dude would have had a 2 hour break if I didn't go in.

At this point, I would probably be the only one in the theater.

Best comedic action slow motion sequence of all time goes to the new X-Men movie.

Okay, I finally saw it.

I really liked it.  It took the source material and fit the existing X-Men movie mythos perfectly around it.  It could be Jackman's best performance as Wolverine.  He has reached his stride as the character, and isn't slowing down, and holy sh*t was he veiny and sinewy.  I missed a couple characters that I thought should definitely have a role in this movie, though.  Namely, Sabretooth, and Emma Frost.  They don't explain Frost's absence, even though she is busted out of jail at the end of First Class, by Magneto.  And who wouldn't love another Sabretooth v. Wolverine fight.  It would bring a bit more of Wolverine's past's story into the movie, and set up Magneto's relationship with Sabretooth.

Are they just going to ignore him(Quicksilver) being Magneto's son or are we in for some soap opera BS in the coming films?

There is a mention.  On the elevator, Quicksilver says his mom used to know a guy with Magneto's powers, meaning she probably knows Magneto, and they banged.  But I don't think they had time to figure that out between them.

Speaking of the Maximoffs, that indeed is Wanda sitting on his lap.  Cool, but I never really consider her an X-Men character.  She's an Avenger.

Overall, I might need to give it another watch when it comes out on video, but it's up there with the good X-Men movies.  Maybe not as good as X2, but on par with the first film, and First Class.

Didn't Singer specifically say it wasn't Wanda? Or did I mishear something?

Did he? It would be weird if she wasn't.

Also, Emma Frost is mentioned on the plane when Magneto is freaking out about the mutants who have died. But that is lame, because Emma is a huge part of the X-Men. It would have been great to see her in that last scene a the Xavier School. Just a cameo.

I mean ...Her not being Wanda would make more sense than if 2 twins were seemingly 20 years apart.

Maybe it's the green one. She's related to em, right? I mean ...Last I checked 8 years ago, she was ..And she had lost her powers for some reason.

It's not technically X-Men, but CGI test footage of a Deadpool movie with Ryan Reynolds voicing Deadpool, has been leaked. It's apparently a few years old, but hopefully the leak incites some interest. I've seen it and it was definitely looking like they were going for an R rating with the violence.

PS, no posting to links of the video, because it is unauthorized, and technically pirated material.

Just saw it. f*cking loved every second of it.

Also, I suggest you change the title to "X-Men & Fox-Marvel Franchises" cause they're gonna be expanding to Deadpool soon, and releasing an X-Force movie as well.

Well, don't you ever say Uncle Dred doesn't deliver.

I've been reading the Death of Wolverine miniseries, it's not bad. Can't say the same for the ongoing Wolverine series the past couple years.

Saw it last night. What a rad film - like, 90's comic fanboy delight. Storm had blessedly little to say and Bishop didn't need to say anything, he just looked fantastic. :p

Only things I took issue with was were petty things. For instance, Magneto's power. Like, insanely overpowered power. Ha. Or why Wolvie has grey hair in the future in a movie that takes literally has the line "you don't age" in it. :p

But refreshingly enough for a comic book movie about unexplained superpowers, there was little time to worry about that crap, because everything that was happening on screen was f*cking awesome. And fun.

He does age, only slower, MUCH slower. It would take atleast 200 more years for his entire head of hair to grey.

The Robocop remake wasn't bad. It just wasn't Robocop. Channing Tatum, isn't bad either, he isn't great, but I can see him as Gambit.

I received both of these items this week:

http://www.amazon.co...s/dp/B00FLML7HW

http://www.amazon.co.../dp/B00K7IPGS6/

turns out i have seen parts of the first one, all of United and Last Stand as well as First Class, I am watching them in order and will obviously end on Days Of Future Past.

I met Anna Paquin a few years before the series started :3

I still haven't read the Old Man Logan, but am reading the Secret Wars tie in by Bendis and Sorrentino. Can't wait for Lemire to come on board, I really liked Lemire and Sorrentino's Green Arrow run.

Anyway, it's a great idea.

For the love of god make this a hard R. Old Man Logan is one of my favorite stories. It's got a western vibe to it which is great and lots of action that could be awesome on the big screen. I've wanted this to happen since I read it. Hopefully they don't f*ck it up.

Not really IMHO. I actually enjoyed Origins.
