GOD that's just awful.

I think i've mentioned this before but Dan House from Rockstar said in an interview last year that they're not worried about current gen hardware's limitations because they still had plenty of potential in them.

bahahahah good one bro'

I don't see it and what i don't see, i don't mind. Stop it already. Not even 1 console peep don't give a damn about some tiny fps issues or graphic compare with pc sh*t.

I don't know what's so wrong about it, we're just stating our reasons for choosing pc as our platform of preference.

Console users are very sensitive ! they dont like any one talking about that 15 fps thing so its better not to bring up such things.

hey guys, lets change the topic a bit. Which processor would run gta 5 better Intel i5 4670 or amd fx9370. I reckon it would be the former and I am willing to buy it, but idk if its the better one for this job

In my experience, GTA games benefit a lot with Intel CPU's, If I were you I'd get a 2500k (which is cheap nowadays) and an aftermarket cooler and overclock it to 4ghz and beyond (since the game also benefits a lot from higher core clocks), you would see massive increase in performance. At least that was my experience in GTA 4 (my framerate almost doubled in some areas going from 3.5 to 4.5ghz). The CPU architecture between the one you mentioned and the 2500k are very similar, except the 2500k has the multiplier unlocked which will allow you for higher core clocks when overclocked.

But I know overclocking isn't for everybody, but that's just my suggestion.

consoles nowadays are for PEGI 3+ audience . u got like 3 buttons on controller and most games are made rubbish because this PEGI 3+ audience dosn't have a voice .

IMO every console player should be gased and PC race would rise and take their exclusive games.

So its intel inside.... But I cant find a 2500k in my country, unless i search for a used one. However a 3570k is an option, and the motherboards with the old chipsets are a bit cheaper.

Yes, the 3570k is a good choice too! Both are great processors (in fact, I'd be willing to say the cpu is the most important aspect of a gaming pc when it comes to GTA games -assuming you have at least a midrange gpu), but if you want to ensure performance, a K series Intel CPU and a good overclock boost is must! *thumbs up*

-edit- Where are you from pal?

What's with the console bashing? Sure the game may have problems but it's running on 8 year old hardware guys and the fact that it runs itself is a great achievement. I must give props to the PS3's and 360's for being able to run games such as Crysis 3, Far Cry 3, Battlefield 4, GTA V etc.

And this is coming from a PC gamer who is also waiting for the PC announcement. We don't want the thread locked again anyways. :)

I am form an eastern european country- Bulgaria and all parts are tad more expensive than USA.

So I am thinking to buy a mb+cpu+ram and when gta5 comes out a vga. Currently I use c2d 8400, 4gbram, and an hd5850, a system which runs gta 4 at 30-33 fps average, but I am not a hardcore gamer and it is just fine for me.

I think you will be greatly satisfied with a 3570k and your 5850!

I'm curious about the official HW specifications if it will be well optimized or not.

But if it's not a port then it shouldn't be bad.

Is anybody hyped for today? There isn't pretty much of a reason even though today is exactly 4 months after initial release but I still expect an announcement any time.

IMO If the Pc version looks anything like the Promotional Screenshots on Max settings i rate we looking at a pretty decent rig to run it...

Im thinking:

MAX SETTINGS

Core i5 2400

Gtx 670/760

6GB Ram DDR3 (maybe 8)

MINIMUM

Core i3 2120

Gts 450

4gb Ram

And if we going AMD i rate:

MAX:

FX8350

R9-280X

MINIMUM:

A8-5600K

R7-240 or HD7770 (not up to date with my AMD)

This is just my opinion. If you can help with these specs it would be nice :)

Just a heads up to people looking to buy new parts for GTA V for PC, do not buy a 2500k or 3570k. These CPUs use old pin arrangement that is beyond end of life. No new chips will be built using it which means you're buying into a dead end.

Get a 4570k instead.

As said earlier, story mode and other online updates are pending.

in spite of that; an announcement is sweet, so we have a treat. finally
