8 Months Old...How come nobody sees information when it's posted?

 

Pointless getting more than 97 or 98 in a Starter Save, since the Callahan Bridge Package is purely luck based and you go to a lot of trouble just to get it when I personally just wait until after Driving Mr. Leone.  I have to return to Portland regardless the moment SI is unlocked to bring the Thunder-Rodd, BF Injection, and Hellenbach GT for Import/Export, so on the way back, I get the Package, which I literally drive right past during this time.  So I see no reason to need it early.  Just like the Dolls House Hidden Package to make 98.  I see no reason, since "Blow Up Dolls" is literally like 8 Missions or so into the game and at that time, I get the Package AT THE SAME TIME I do the final Stunt Jump which also can't be done early and it's also right next to a Molotov Pickup.  There is reasons I don't do some of the things early as it would just hurt the Total Playing Time in the end, anyways, as well as the Safehouse Visits since some of the stuff like the Callahan Bridge Package would be pure luck.  I'd basically get 1 Package, then save the game and after 20 minutes trying to get it.  In other words, not worth it.  More Cons than Pros in this case and furthermore, you don't get the $50,000 and the final 100th Hidden Package until the 3rd to last Story Mission.  No percentage increase until all 100 are obtained, so it's pointless...

 

And yeah, I've spoken about Special Vehicles in non Special Vehicle Topics, but this was long ago, before I made any of my Guides.  Now a days every time something is mentioned about Special Vehicles in random Topics, I just link my Guide and report the Posts and tell the Staff to merge the sh*t into my Guide or something as there doesn't need to be multiple Topics around the Forum for the exact same purpose.  This is a Starter Save Topic, which is about the Tasks in which you can do after Home Sweet Home, the percentage you will get, and the Attempts you will get.  Nothing more...

As of the 100th package, I wonder if we can use a ghost car to get deep enough into the building with the package inside that we won't respawn on the street, bail out at perfect height, angle, place. Grab the package, and I think that we'll be close enough to the street to respawn on it.

Tried that already, it doesn't work. You always get teleported on the street.

And how do you want to lift the ghost car?

I thought it's possible to respawn inside the building, but since zazaza said it's impossible, oh well.
As there is a invisible platform, I think there's another way?? Like landing on it and perform a stunt or run and jump.

And the roof is also solid which means that my idea of jumping to another one with an incredible stunt and jumping into this one to grab the package while falling is bad.

 

...Doesn't work.  Same thing was said in the 8 Month Old Comment I linked a few posts above.  Does anyone read?  It's a link, leading you to all the information THAT WAS ALREADY TALKED ABOUT 8 Months ago and found that it doesn't work.

Well then... It's probably impossible in the beginning.
Perhaps if we go extremely fortunate and somehow jump into building with tall height, we can do it. That's a very low chance, tho.

I thought of an alternative way to bring vehicles to Portland early on, but it's way too f*cking tedious. The basic idea is very similar to the AP/EC Black Maverick; leave a boat in memory near the harbour, drive your desired vehicle there, build up a lot of speed, bail out at the last second, and use the boat to push it to Harwood. The distance will be much shorter, and no Ferry Boats to mess you up, but still very annoying.

 

I just did exactly that:

I parked the Reefer (although I assume other boats work, too) on the pier where "Caught in the Act" takes place, went on foot to the V8 Ghost's spawn location, drove it to the harbour, threw it in the water, and pushed it to Harwood. Make sure your vehicle is in good shape before attempting this, because the boat does damage it. Also, if you push too hard, it might tip, so be careful. It doesn't blow up whilst submerged, though, so there is a chance to flip it back up before beaching it.

 

In other words: IT IS POSSIBLE TO BRING CARS TO PORTLAND EARLY (bikes don't work; they are completely submerged)! It's not as tedious as I initially thought, but still is, somewhat. Also, cars are MUCH easier to push AND beach than the Maverick (everything is easier than the Maverick).

 

So, BP/DP/PP/TP/EC Deimos SP and Cheetah, BP/DP/PP V8 Ghost, Phobos VT etcetera, are actually possible.

 

I haven't yet gotten a full understanding of how the tunnel-clipping trick works, but if I do, I'll investigate if there is an ideal location in the other islands, thus (hopefully) find a new method to transport vehicles (including bikes) over to Portland.

 

Meanwhile, I'm doing some research regarding the Heavy property in relation to WP, and am finding some weird stuff. When I get it done, I'll post more details on the guide.

I once clipped through Pay and Spray when I drove beneath a truck that for some reason got stuck in there.
Why can't we put bikes into the reefer?

You can absolutely take Bikes back to Portland.  Hasn't anyone watched OrionSR's See the Sight Before Your Flight runs using Bikes/Boats, and no WP Bike?  His Videos are like 6 to 8 years old.  So they've been around for a while now...I saw this stuff in 2015, myself, but only owned LCS since April 2014, so 3 years I have this game, as well as VCS.

You can find them somewhere in there.  You just take the Bike ON THE BOAT with you, to the dock, and then wheelie off the Boat onto land with the Bike.  He did this, and passed all 12 Sights in a Starter Save early on without a WP Bike.  The hardest and most interesting way to do StSBYF 12 times in a Starter Save.  The WP PCJ-600 is too easy :D :p

 

But even with being able to take Bikes back to Portland, what gives?  What Bike is in SI/SSV that we need to bring back to Portland early?  None...

It's not really a discovery, but rather an ascertainment of an old trick that dates back in the days of GTA III, where the wall-sinking glitch had yet to be found. I got the idea more than a month ago, and put it into a test today. I also confirmed yesterday that this very same method works in VCS, as well (EP Gang Rancher :cool:), and is arguably less time-consuming.

 

We can put bikes on the Reefer, to somewhat act as a ferry boat, but I tried it several times, and failed. For one, I could barely turn at all, other times the bike merged with the boat and/or fell in the water afterwards, or by the time I realised I hardly made any progress, my bike had already started smoking. Using vehicles as a means of transporting other vehicles is an interesting mechanic Rockstar never really capitalized on. Okay, we temporarily had some sky-cranes during missions like "Up, Up and Away!" and "High Wire", but the only "perfect" vehicle transporter so far is the Cargobob in V, but, in that game, during free roam, this function is completely useless, I think. Everything else is glitchy.

I was wrong.  BP/PP Pizza Boy...From Joe's Well Snacked Pizza Side Mission.  This would be good to bring back early on to Portland using a Boat.  Shouldn't be too hard with OrionSR's Method.  May take a few tries, though...Also the BP/PP Angel from SSV to Portland?  Perhaps SSV to SI, then to Portland with the Angel.  Would be a nice challenge for a BP/PP Angel.  The Angel would be the one parked for AWOL Angel.  I am not sure where else an Angel spawns, but that's the closest one I can think of to take.

There spawns one at the head radio thing (rollercoaster ride takes place there) and one at the ferry.

Really?  An Angel?  I swear I never saw any of these before.  I see Freeway's parked in certain spots, but the only actual ANGEL I can think of is in SSV used for AWOL Angel.  Either way, we have a "special" Bike for EVERY existing Bike in LCS at this point.  The ONLY ones I would need are the Pizza Boy and Angel and make them BP/PP with Shop 'til You Strop and Firefighter.  If I got them, I have many special PCJ-600's, Sanchez's, Freeway's, Faggio's, Avenger, Manchez, Noodle Boy, Pizza Boy, and Angel.

Angel has 3 spawn points in Portland :
1. At the car park of Head Radio, where you take the Stretch in "Rollercoaster Ride".
2. At the Portland ferry station car park.
3. Parked inside an alley opposite of the hospital.

A BP Angel is as easy as converting Portland vehicles...
Anyway, is the Pizzaboy capable of getting on a boat? It's very slow, and there's not much room to accerlate.
