Is it normal to join a crew consisting of people you do not know IRL? I am wondering because I want to join a crew consisting of players I don't know but I'm not sure if I should...

Thanks for answering!

Lol. That was funny  . Because you wrote 'Thanks for answering' and Jack Reacher played a little joke by just saying 'No problem'

I have been invited to, but haven't accepted. I started my own crew simply to get higher rewards from jobs, got maybe 4 members, 2 I know IRL, others I met while playing. If R* didn't offer higher rewards for ppl in a crew I wouldnt have bothered.

It's no problem, no problem at all, infact, I don't think practically anyone knows their crewmates IRL.

Do you think I should join this crew? I don't know anyone from this crew IRL, but the emblem is beautiful... TBH I want to join this crew just because of the emblem...

So do you think it's worth it and do you think people from this crew know each other IRL?

I don't play with people I know IRL. None of them play GTA Online.

It's no problem joining peeps you don't know. I got invited to a crew when I was starting out, and now I'm friends with a couple of people in it.

Because of the good people, good vibes you get from playing with them and you enjoy the time. You feel like you're actually part of the crew. Share laughs with one another Online. etc etc.

Wait to receive a legitimate invite.

I got an invite from a friend I met on this forum.

I have a small one with friends/fam but joined a large second one. RDR.

The bigger the crew the more likely there are some that will still kill you on sight. On the other hand, I have hadmultiple rush over to jump in with me when fighting non members. I think it also helps as they are so big you get pretty full lobbies and more people seem to join missions.

What are some good large crews (like RDR)?

They are listed in order of size and points or something on the social club. Pretty sure Rdr has over 100k members.Sometimes I change lobbies because its almost all Rdr and the have only each other to kill. lol.All yellow ringed dots.

My lieutenants are my brother and my nephew. The rest of the crew are people met online, from all over the world

Wait. You mean humans still interact with each other outside of the internet? This is some Twilight-Zone level sh*t.

First crew I joined was just because I did a few missions with a couple of guys and they were fairly competent at the game, I played with them for a few weeks but when I got bored of grinding and started playing free roam or deathmatches nearly all the time I left because all they did was grind.

I've joined the GTAF crew since then but hardly anyone is ever online and most of them just grind too.

12 out of 14 members of my crew either know me or another crew member IRL. 1 member was met in the game by my friend, and 1 member I have no idea who they are and how they got in. After years of online gaming, I've learned that random crews are full of randoms, so I avoid them. If I meet anyone who has similar interests and wants to join, we'll take them in, but that never happens. Crews have a few different purposes, but the main three are, to be in a random group, to be in a troll group, or to be in a group with people you really know.

I'm in a crew of 300 I don't know IRL. Good to have so you don't have to do missions alone. Plus I like the emblem for my cars and clothes.
