Does anyone agree that a war themed game mode should be enabled?

I think it would be one hell of a fun game with one team holding a city/area while another advances to capture the city/area.

But, with a real war type setting. (Moblizations, groups, defense lines, etc.)

If at all possible.

With 16 players this would only be possible 8 v 8 in a smaller area.

I can see some sort of city capture mode working with 64 players though...

With the amount of tanks around free mode it already is a war themed game mode

Yes, this would require much more than 16 players.

But, IMO, with controlled weaponry and army suits, this could be one fun project.

Meaning, you don't choose the guns, but it's the army standard, such as a pistol, knife, sniper, and a combat MG. And the army/airforce suit.

An air force, and an army advance on a city, held by strong defenses.

Now, if Generals could somehow be added. But I doubt that could happen.

I'm just a bit of a WWII buff.

No offence to the OP or anyone else who agrees with the idea, but I dislike the idea entirely. Not because it's a bad idea (because it isn't) but because, just like the "ZOMBIEOMGBBQ!" ideas, it just doesn't fit in well with GTA, imo.

There are plenty of war themed games as there are plenty of zombie games. GTA is about crime and hopefully remains that way.

Personally I wish they'd take tanks entirely out of GTAO (although it's never going to happen), or at least keep them out of free-roam. I think the whole concept is utterly silly. I am aware it's just a video game, but can you imagine what would be unleashed on the poor criminal that tried driving a tank irl anywhere near L.A.?

No problem. Everyone feel free to voice their opinions, I am curious, after all.

I just think it would be a great new experience to see your character in mobilized battlefields.

The same "drug, money" themes get boring after a while, IMO.

Keep in mind nothing like this is in COD, but I can see it happening in GTA with larger lobbies.

Keep them coming.

create a death match called war games, locate it on the base, set appropriate goals, voila!
