Anyone else going through this? 10 inches of snow fell through where I'm at and it is bitter COLD! Wind chill of 0 degrees atm here and it's expected to get worse. This weather blows.

Who else is dealing with this?

I got the tail end of it . 2-3 inches but the ridiculous cold and wind is pretty bad.

Yup. Looks like a good 8 inches fell.

Whoohoo...no work...SNOW DAY!!!!!

My wife even shoveled the front already, so all I have to do is sit in here all warm and cozy.

As a Finnish person, I say "That's cute.". ;)

If the news site I saw your problems was reliable, New York and New Jersey mayors ordered an emergency... for ~-15 - 20ºC. It's ~+1ºC here in Finland right now, but normally in here you start wearing shorts when it hits -30ºC. :p

As for the snowstorm, that's pretty much the Finnish snow depth for the entire winter. Not the case now though - there is no snow at all. Seems like the climate has finally changed. Damn climate change!

Too little snow snorms in North Central Europe.

Got about 12 inches where I'm at in Connecticut. It's currently -1F (-18.3C) and "feels like" -24F (-31.1C). I don't even live here. I'm visiting someone, and I need to drive home because 1) I have to work tomorrow and 2) I'm really sick and need to get to a hospital.

Welp, guess that's not happening.

It's hitting up here on the east coast of Canada too. Started snowing here about supper time last night. Supposed to get about 30-40cm (12-16 inches) of snow. And on top of that, it's -30 Celsius.

I really wish the Weather Channel would stop it with this whole winter storm naming nonsense. I thought people were smart enough not to follow this silly trend.

Yeah, we got hit hard. Too bad it didn't hit two days later, I wanted a snow day. Hopefully the wind chills stay this low.

We didn't get hit that hard but it was hard enough to close school. About an inch plus of snow. I have icicles hanging on my house though.

This December has broken the string of mild winters. Bunch of snow storms, and a f*cking ice storm. And it's f*cking cold outside. It was -20 something Thursday night.

Wait, this is a thing?

Count yourself lucky. It seems nice at first til you realize you have to shovel it.

My high today is -2. The low, -22. These are actual temps, I don't even want to know what the wind chill will be when I go to work tonight and in the morning coming home. Few years ago we got 30 in. in 24 hours. And this is just southern Minnesota.

All the UK is getting is rain. Just pure floods around the country and strong chilly wind. No f*cking snow here.

I have been stuck in my house since Friday.  Cabin fever is setting in pretty heavy.  I'm pretty sure I have a high post count here this weekend because of that.

I thought today was going to be the day I get in my car and take care of food shopping and that kind of stuff, but the city is now ice covered and once again we are being asked to stay off the roads.

I'm fortunate that I live in an area where everything is in walking distance...most fortunate that the beer store is only a few blocks away. :beerhat:

This storm is apparently turning into a "winter vortex" now. Cold air from the arctic is being pulled as far south as the Gulf, and it's producing temperatures as cold as -70F (with wind chill) in some parts of the midwest.  In my area, we're getting freezing rain all day. I was trying to drive in it earlier, and the rain kept freezing the second it hit my windshield.  It's like some weird, The Day After Tomorrow, type sh*t.

Started early this morning, already 3 inches. Tomorrow's high is -6 and the low is -15 wind chill factor will put it between -20 to -40. Good thing I don't need to go anywhere.

It is like 8 degrees and even less with windchill today. I think it is the tail end of winter storm Hercules. It is too cold to go outside for any extended period of time and everything is frozen. The window on my car wouldn't open and I was barely strong enough to open the door!

You're telling me, I accidentally turned on the windshield washers when I was driving to school today and instantly my entire windshield was covered in ice. I had to pull over and scrape it off for a few good minutes. I think by the time I finished I was as frozen as the ice on the windshield when the water flash freezed. Horrible, horrible weather.
