Rockstar SHOULD make two 70's games. One could be this, and the other one is San Fierro 1976.

Sammy Bottino could be an up-and-coming character in this thread. His daughter Antonia said he ran the east coast in the 80s and 90s ;)

Interesting... but according to the LCPD database he was 43 in 2008 so in '79 he would be only 14... and his records started at '81 but i'll think about it anyway so thanks

Maybe it's early for this observation, but the argument seems too simple. I'd add more differences between each character situation, for example:

Xavier Alonso is a smart and ambitious guy, something like Tony Montana or Manny Rivera and that ambition puts him in troubles with his own people as well as other criminal individuals.

Kaz Shimazaki, thought at first is really loyal to his bosses and organizations, at some point starts a personal revenge due to a family affair against one of his bosses/members of the organization, or even another of the protagonists, so he leaves aside the organization he belongs.

Last, Niall Catherwood might be betrayed by his organizations when he is accused to be a Federal and attempted to kill in an ambush. Perhaps, Niall could accuse one of the high-ups of the mob, who would want to reach the control of the organization, to be after the incident, since Niall was a close friend/family of one of the bosses and could find out the betray and advise the boss.

That's a great idea! I'll consider it for the final thing. Right now, this storyline is more like a beta before it is edited and put out of its misery so thanks for the tip

If Rockstar actually Realised this Concept into a GTA game but on current-gen,it would not only be Revolutionary but it would be a KILLER APP,with Next-gen this is possible, once again great concept thread bro.

I'm not sure. Initially i thought that i would make it a TC mod for IV, but it would be too large for me to design. But i'm trying to work it out and hopefully we'll see when it's finished.

I like the idea of this. A late 70s/80s East Coast cannot be exceeded IMO. Going to be watching with interest.

Dig the interaction of your three protagonists; it doesn't feel forced, as GTAV occasionally did. Cuts out a lot of the unneccesary bullsh*t each of them having their own motivation, their own problems within organizations.

My advice? Stick with it, assemble an awesome soundtrack and vehicle list (you've already got some great graphics going on) and don't be afraid to change things around if you feel the need to.

Topic Updated. This time i've added some weapons, a little more storyline info and some new headers. My laptop is still being serviced so i'm here from an internet café. Thanks to everyone for sticking around and for your positive comments. Stay tuned and keep on posting!!
EDIT: Any help or suggestion is welcome on the 'Weapons' section.

Wow. Talk about dedication!

Weapons look good. Buying bags and cases to expand your inventory is a smart idea. I like you're able to pick up anything to use in a melee - one of the few positives I took away from my brief experience with Saints Row the dark side. My only critisism is some of the weapons are too outdated: the Tommy Gun for instance. A Grease Gun might be a better choice, unless you have the Tommy in purely for nostalgia. The TEC9 was produced during the 80s and wouldn't be available in '79, An M76 would be more accurate for the time period. Keep up the good work!

Same goes for the Desert Eagle. Until the 1990's it wasn't produced. Maybe a Browning Hi Power or a M1911 could replace it?

I'll add it too, along with the M76 (i'm planning to add all different kinds of weapons, even of the same type). If there's anything else be sure to post it!
EDIT: Should I include a list for melee weapons?

When were the seventies ever pretty? :p

I must admit the supressed M12 looks very tasty. You're spoiling us having both, bengalboy. Wasn't the M76 produced mainly for police use? My thinking was for it to replace the SMG used by NOOSE in GTAIV/V.

You should add the melee weapons too!

Both At4 and RPG 26 are way too modern. My suggestions:

M72 LAW. The thing with these is that in real life can just be shot once, but looks pretty cool, such a classic from Vietnam War.

RPG 7

M79 grenade launcher

Instead of the M1 Garand, which in my opinion would be too dated, something like a M14 would be better, with or without sight.

Sorry again for the double post, but i think i've got this weapons thing figured out.
BTW @RoadRunner71, i thought the M1 was used in the Vietnam war, and I don't know, hadn't the AT-4 hit the millitary in mid-to-late '70s? Well i guess it was confusing cause most of them were later so much improved and advanced it's hard to distinguish between them. And even if they were available maybe to the millitary only, so i've added this:

Some weapons are mostly only available in millitary bases.
Weapons featured are their pre-1979 and 1979 variants, not their modern-day deriatives

And thanks to you all for your suggestions!

Nope, these rocket launchers weren't avaliable till the mid 1980's or so.

The M14 was widely used during the Vietnam War but I guess the M1 Carbine could work too.  You meant the M1 Carbine version, right?
