Picked this up for $7, and I'm loving the hell out of it. The color scheme, setting, music are great. I really like the protagonist too. How this one got past me in 2009 is a mystery.

Anyone else played this before ?

Yeah, but for me it was just average. I'm one of the few that didn't enjoy it that much.

I liked it, voice actors with over-the-top accents, blowing stuff up, cars, nazi's, you start off at a nightclub with beautiful naked pixelated women everywhere, more explosions, more nazi's, racing.

Yup, pretty good.

I can see that. I might've been a little bummed if I paid full price.

Me too.

I think I completed this game to 100%. Hell of a fun game. I enjoy free roam and I enjoy killing Nazis. Was definitely good times.

I meant to buy it, but I let it slip. It's very cheap now, maybe sometime I'll try it this year.

Never heard of it. (Wasn't into the whole gaming scene after getting rid of my Playstation 1 and 2. Returned for Mafia II and now I'm here.)

Thanks for showing me this. Looks great.

It's not perfect by any stretch, but I'm still having a lot of fun with it.

The accents in it remind me of this movie...

I still play it!

It's a great game, and it's a shame that EA "killed" pandemic after the game released.

I enjoyed it. Especially the glitch where at a certain point in the game if you climb onto the Eiffel Tower and do something, all of the Nazi's stop hunting you down even if you are wanted. Its awesome, its the way I finished off my last achievements for the Xbox. Really nice game, just kind of repetitive.

This is absolutely one of my favorite games of all time, and the game is no where near perfect by any stretch, not at all. But it's such a fun game with so much to respect and appreciate. It's a serious misfortune that there will not be a sequel, one that was so painfully pointed at in the end of the game.

I was playing it just earlier today making sure it was working fine and all and just got sucked in had to play it for a few hours. I just wish there was a modding community for it that worked on it and made tools and such, that would be so great, but sadly, that's likely not going to happen.

The game just really captured me more than most other games have been able to, GTA3 did a lot for me in that regard when I first played it and even now. If the Saboteur didn't exist, the gaming world would be practically the same, but at no point would my gaming world be the same.

As for people looking for it, I got it on Amazon PC Download, so I can directly download it from their servers. It gives you a CD key that you need to install, or at least usually do, I don't recall using it earlier this morning, but that's there. You use Amazon's installer, it downloads files, you use those to install the game. Once those are there, you can move them wherever you want, just note: The Saboteur has some major issues on PC including memory leaks. ATI cards didn't work at all with the Saboteur at first, neither quad core processors, but a patch was released right before Pandemic was closed down that fixed most of it, but the game still doesn't run amazing, if you keep it windowed, set Task Manager priority high, and set the affinity to two cores, it should fix problems for people with severe performance issues like myself. This would only be acceptable for those who REALLY want to play the Saboteur on PC!

Shame it was underrated, then again what open world game with vehicles and weapons that isn't GTA isn't underrated?

I got this about 3 years ago. I liked the German occupied Paris theme and the Sin City like presentation.

I played parts of this game with a friend of mine several years ago, and it actually popped into my head the other day. I really want to try it out myself so I think I'll get it soon :)

Ok, quick review from what I've played so far. Please excuse my English :)

  • Stealth and cover mechanics are not as good as it should be.

  • There is no option that I can see to travel fast (I’m still on the early stages). Instead you must drive all the way each time to start a mission.

  • No option to pause the cut scenes.

  • While you can change the radio stations using the same controls as GTA, there is no indication on how to do that for people who are unfamiliar with GTA.

On the other hand, the ability to climb almost every building in Paris is amazing!

Graphics, storyline and music are outstanding.

So far the best part for me is the German invasion of France. You must drive through the German army during the invasion. That is breathtaking on every level!

I felt sad knowing that  Pandemic Studios (who developed the game) was shut down after the release of the game :(

Lovely game!
I also discovered it a couple years after release though.
Loads of vehicles and weapons too.
It's fun watching films like Inglorious Bastards and then playing it :)

Why make a thread for such an old game?

Also the studio that made it was shut down...which kinda sucks because I would've loved a sequel, and also Mercenaries 3 (which they were working on).

I love the black and white effect on nazi held areas. It really adds to the atmosphere, and also gives tanglible way to show to the player how much he still has to do in the city.

I really wanted to see if anyone else here played this game. I'm happy I found something. This was a great, underrated game. This is like if Assassins Creed, Mafia, and Mercenaries had a baby. It doesn't do any one thing in particular better than those games, but it has gameplay elements that resemble them.

I really recommend it.

yeah this is kind of an unknown game for some reason.

even though it's freakin' awesome.

I'm not sure why so many people didn't play it.

it really flew under the radar.

For some reason this game popped into my head the other week and I was thinking to myself why I never checked it out. I may pick it up soon before it becomes to dated looking for my liking.

Wish they would've made a sequel for this game.
