Hello There Guys. This is a Fountain which can be found in the areas of Washington Beach. I made a Duplicate of it and placed it at Little Havana as you can see. But the Problem is that the Real One is coming with water shower and the custom one is not coming with it? How do i make it like the original one?? I use Map Editor (MEd v0.32). Please tell what is wrong?

I think water shower was added through script. :santa:

(the dff model itself have a dummy to show the extension of water_fountain effect
the extension will be lost by import/export in 3d editor
i know it only for SA how to add effect or light to object, here's the tut
)

the the fire_hydrant is done by that method
but this fountain is a special effect

Then can that be corrected through 3ds max?? just tell me what this problem is and how to solve it.. :)

oh, looks bad, i was wrong
the fire_hydrant is done by that method
but this fountain is a special effect
i think it's hardcoded

Humm that might be true it may be hardcoded.. I wish there were some way to use hardcoded things but it's ok. Also i will try to move that original fountain and see whether that fountain effect will also move with it or not.. Then we
'll be able to know whether it is hardcoded or not.. :)

It is possible to add the water effect elsewhere, I have done it in another mod, nothing hardcoded was changed for that.

I still remember how when we went in the tunnel beneath the fountain the water was still splashing through so you made a busted pipe, just awesome ideas, too bad we aren't still working on that mod, it did have an awesome map with the changes we made.

So by 2dfx entries we create such special effects ok i got it thanks you all :). but there's one more thing i need to know i placed a custom traffic light post in middle of street but the people won't stop their car at its red signal why?? is that also hard coded??

Also i've added that

entry in the 2dfx section of Littleha.ide still that fountain effect is not coming why?? :/

in the paths maybe, i don't know it for VC but for SA, there the paths have a flag for special abilities like stop at traffic light

Well you might have to change the location for where it appears first....

and dont forget to add the 'end' part to it too.

 

It might also need a different ID Number, I'm not too sure right not without looking at any more references.

"-4.57764e-005" = X Position

"0.00012207" = Y Position

"5.37775" = Z Position (Height)

In that code is '2887' the ID number??

So what new ID i'll have to give if it will not work??
