Well, considering there's a trash can every f*cken foot in the parking lot...

I guess that's handy when you're in a parking lot, but when you're not in a parking lot, then not so much.

Then wait til you get home to throw it out, not complicated.

I do not litter. Might sound "hippish" but I feel like that's a horrible thing to do to the planet. It's like an old saying "don't eat where you sh*t", pollution and poverty is already a bad thing going on, I don't feel like adding onto it.

Sometimes, but usually only small pieces of wrapping and in populated areas where the people who live there clean the stuff.

I hate people that throw rubbish out, it's wrong, lazy and should come with a prison sentence.

I don't remember the last time I littered. I usually put on-hand trash in my pockets until I see a trash can. Throwing KFC boxes out of your window is both lazy and disgusting.

Nope, not unless I have to...which I don't. I like clean places, I assume others like clean places too.

No I don't and I think that it's plain stupid and lazy.

Whenever I'm outside and have a wrapper around something, like sweets for an example,

I remove the wrapper and place it in my pocket, either in pants or a jacket pocket and throw it in the nearest trash can later.

I use little plastic bags as a bin when I'm driving so all my litter goes in that, I don't usually litter I'd throw my stuff in a bin, but I'm not one of those people who have a fit about litter bugs, if I'm opening a pack of chewing gum and a torn off piece of wrapper blows away in the wind I won't go chasing it, and I have eaten a Mcdonalds before and put everything in the brown paper bag, screwed up the top and left it by the kerb. but then again I don't eat McD's often.

Without us litterers, the street cleaners wouldn't have a job.

YOU'RE WELCOME.

How considerate! I'm sure they appreciate it very much every time you throw your garbage in the streets.

If only there were more caring people like you in this world

I throw cigarette ends out my window when driving along. However mc d's/KFC/ BK boxes in the road piss me off. They do not break down 'quickly' unless it's raining and they get run over a thousand times. Lazy f*ck

They last about a month depending on weather. But yes, i'll admit that i'm a lazy f*ck, I just hate keeping them in the car until I get to a bin because they make the car smell.

They break down into small pellets that terrestrial and marine animals eat and die from. Rarely do they break down completely.

You people are lazy f*cks.  Your littering would be the same as someone sneaking into your home and placing poisoned apples into your fruit baskets.  Animals don't know the difference between safe and hazardous when it comes to foreign objects, so you're just killing them.  Great job, guys.

For me, I don't throw anything out the window.  How lazy can you be?  The only thing I would ever consider throwing into the woods or something is an old peel of an orange or some uneaten fruits.  But, even then, most of our foods are covered and filled with mutagenic pesticides and fertilizers, anyway.

Nope, put it in my backpack while I walking, to put it in the trash. At home I have my own garbage basket.

Here people put their garbage into trees (branches), throw it in the streets, or places where there is a lot of garbage for years, from children to adults so f*ck the culture and manners.

But I don't like see something like that in some years:

I litter bus tickets all the time but rarely anything else. I just let them slip out of my hand so it's not completely obvious I'm littering.

Do you ever litter? I always throw my Mcdonalds and KFC rubbish out the window, but it's only paper anyway so it's gonna breakdown quite quickly.
What about you?

I'm not 100% sure I believe you in this post.

I don't understand how anyone could litter. Biodegradable bullsh*t aside, wouldn't you just feel bad for adding any more ugliness to your surroundings?

Yeah, this. It's hard not to just flick your butts and it doesn't feel like a big deal, but throwing a KFC container out of a car window sounds pretty extreme.

Whenever I go to a park or something, I always just think to myself "Well, this is nice, but what this really needs are KFC bags and cigarette butts littering the ground."

I saw a clean neighborhood once, holy sh*t it looked nice. So no I don't litter, I don't subscribe to that "well it's biodegradable" bullsh*t either. It still makes the area look like sh*t while it's there.

I remember when I was young we watched a video in school about littering, and it went into a music video and the kids in the video were singing an anti-littering song, and one of the lyrics went something to the effect of ''If we litter all the time the rubbish would pile up the streets'', and it basically showed the streets being full of rubbish in a massive pile, like a junkyard basically. Over-exaggeration at its finest.

Littering is fine along a highway or interstate.. what gets me is everytime I go to mow my lawn (especially ditches) or do my 'outside' business, that I have to pick up f*cking McDonald's bags/beer cans/cups/cans/grocery bags every motherf*cking time.

If you're in a neighborhood, don't f*cking litter.. keep it to the highways and interstates where people are paid to clean it. Jackasses.

Pretty sure maccas and KFC and Hungry Jacks and Subway and every single other fast food chain in Australia uses paper and cardboard packaging, there's nothing much else on them except perhaps small amounts of ink, the cardboard isn't even waxed, I really doubt that paper is going to kill animals. Yes I'm a lazy f*ck for doing it but I don't really care enough to stop, I have fast food on a-less-than-monthly basis now and I usually eat in anyway because as explained I hate the smell it puts in my car. So the total amount of rubbish from fast food I throw out the window amounts to about probably 2-3 paper bags a year, I realize I didn't make this clear in my intial post, I meant that if I eat it in the car I always throw it out the window, unless it's bin day, if it isn't, oh well, I do not feel guilty doing it. Hell i've had several environmental groups talk to me about littering and such through various workplaces and schooling i've been through and they've told me that If I wanted to I can just bury fast food rubbish in the compost because it's all been made with paper nowadays anyway.

You don't believe me as in it's not biodegradable? Or you don't believe that paper is the only rubbish I litter?

In my city there is street sweepers going around quite often all around the city so it usually gets picked up, or somebody sees it in their gutter and does the good thing and puts in it their bin.

Personally though I kinda like the gritty feel, it's cool, rubbish seems kinda artificial to be honest, so it doesn't really add to that feeling and I don't litter for that reason but I enjoy it more than picture perfect suburbs with gleaming white pavement, perfect black roads and un-naturally green fake grass everywhere, there's no character, I like seeing graffiti around, rubbish in the area, bags dumped in an alleyway and greyish concrete lining the streets, I like the large run down buildings, it makes me think of the ghetto areas where so many films are set, where GTA IV, GTA III and San Andreas were set, I actually like it, it's not some fake-ass picture perfect pleasantville, there's danger, you've got to know your way around kind of thing, walking around the suburb you actually have things to look at, to look out for, rather than characterless house I feel more homely in a place like that, I don't know why, it's an unshakeable desire I have.

Unlike this bullsh*t, in one of the newer suburbs in Canberra.
