Hey everyone, I was at the hair salon, and I was just looking at the pictures and maps on the wall, when I spotted something strange about the world map:

0_0.jpg

As you can see, some pieces of land are submerged by the ocean. Parts of South America, the Gulf Coast (US), Russia, China, and Australia are flooded. You can see for yourself in a barber shop in V. I thought this was interesting, possibly a reference to Global Warming?

That explains why all the major cities are islands.

Good explanation.

Either that or the map is poorly done out. I mean, look at Florida- there is no Florida! Yet Vice City is mentioned numerous times.

And how is Los Santos still there if the sea level has raisen?

My opinion. That map is related to the Mount Chilliad mystery. It's a map from the future, some more advanced technology is hidden there, that allowed its owner or owners to predict or even see, visit it, the future. That would explain the private military company presence and contracts with the Government. The source of the map could unveil clues of the next GTA.

Now the question would be how in a simple hair salon they have such an unique map and if somewhere else it can be found. That's the first step to find the true.

Perhaps the hair salon is an IAA front company used to distribute fluoride to help aid in mind control?

Sorry to nitpick, but I look at the map of Australia and turns out my town is right underwater, despite the fact that we're one of the most elevated cities in Australia.

If that were the case, then why do they mention Florida as a whole? I don't see why they would, unless underwater snorkeling is a big pastime in the GTA universe

This could possibly only be an HD universe phenomenon.

Now that's just silly, "Florida" was mentioned to Eddie Low by Niko Belic in IV

There's still a chunk of land (a penisula in fact!) in the southeast. Maybe Florida moved in the GTA universe. Global warming doesn't mean old people don't need a place to retire to. :pp

I wouldn't expect Florida to move in the GTA Universe, though. For the most part, I've always believed that every location mentioned in the GTA universe is located where it is in real life

C'mon, you people! Grow up! This is just another pointless easter egg that, in this case, references global warming. R* has referenced sh*tloads of stuff like this in previous games and this game so let's not get too excited.

Don't try to use that bullsh*t to justify as to why 100% of the Netherlands is underwater

This is the whole GTA Universe, finally!

Maybe Florida DOES exist but it has another shape and it's not in its real place.

Also, there's no Russia! Funny!

Then why do the maps in the army base and the maps in IV look different?

I don't have any proof!
But I feel like it's not just a hoax...
Sorry for this, universetwisters :(

EDIT: I have no problem with this map because Iran is there alive!

That explains why all the major cities are islands.

Good explanation.
Makes sense. It would give Rockstar a reason other than graphical reasons to have island maps.

Either that or its a way to keep rockstar from making the rest of the world.

It's an alternative map, like Los Santos is an alternative Los Angeles

Interesting find. It's a good explanation as to why all of these places are islands.
