GTA V was awesome. Fun and all. But now... now that i've finished it and i want to get into GTA online... it gets tedious.
Rank 16 and the money doesn't come, and the rp doesn't come, and the funzies don't come.
You ban hackers, you fix glitches and the only way to make money is by giving real one to you?
I would be ok with farming, but it's 10 more annoying rank to go and i have NO IDEA how to get them!
Is anyone here with more than 1.000.000$ that never got modded \ glitched \ farmed money?
What the hell R*

consider this game a learning experience for other games in the future. do not try to understand why these things are the way are. accept them and hope for a better future.

R* is hoping people will buy into the microtransaction concept. the problem is they dont offer any end game content. there is nothing to do in gtao that feels rewarding and worth while. everyone i play with spends 100% of their time in free roam causing choas. but that only last for a short while, 45 min of free roam and its time for another game.

good luck stayin interested while following the rules. the reward for doing so doesnt exist.

This game isn't supposed to be about fun, don't you know?  It's about grinding.

Isn't there a new RP exploit during escort missions now? You could always gain levels (fast) doing one of those, and do Coveted for cash from there, or do survivals solo.

Instead of focusing on rewards and ranking up, focus on the gameplay?  I remember an era where people played games to play games, not to earn arbitrary in game currency and ranks.  If you don't enjoy the gameplay, and only play for loot (I feel like I'm talking about WoW again), why bother?

Did you see the loading screen about a quick injection of liquid assets?

Injecting liquid in the ass is fun no matter who you are.

It was about getting money over money to live well, the exact same thing i expected and want to do in GTA O: enjoy my millions, my supercars, my megahouse.... but the most i can rob is 1.000 in some random market instead of 40.000.000 from a national bank.

I've made $5.3 million (LOL, $37K in my bank account at the moment). Just having fun. Never glitched anything. Never farmed missions. Yeah, I play the same missions but not over and over, just whenever they show up in the Quick Jobs.

Bigger payouts come with higher ranked missions. Try joining Quick Job Missions and you'll get put into mission you otherwise can't obtain due to your low rank.

Also, longer races give you a great payout in money and rep. Stay away from short, non-technical races that are a waste of time (Criminal Records, Commute, Down the Drain). Deathmatches are also a great form of RP and cash (if you're good). Plus you always need to be on the lookout for the nice cars to sell to LSC, grabbing a car for Simeon now and then, and the armored trucks give anywhere from $5K-$12K(ish) a piece. Once one spawns, it seems to spawn a bunch of them. Great way to get $50K+ in a matter of minutes. f*ck, I'm Level 102 and I still stop and rob stores for fun and a little cash.

Do races. Do death matches. Sell cars. Play golf. Do jobs off the vote screen. Stay out of freeroam, its THE money sink.

The only reason any of this is a problem is if you're in a hurry for some reason. The game isnt going to magically change radically when you're level 50 with $2 million dollars. If your only reason for playing is to get a tank, this may not apply but you should probably check out world of tanks instead.

If you're not enjoying the journey, the destination will be no better. I'm levels 37/26 with 500k in the bank and another million earned and spent (excluding stimulus package). Just play.

If you're not having fun by Rank 10-99 you don't know how to play the game and should quit immediately

I have quite a bit of fun playing the parts of the games that work. So much, in fact, that I'm puzzled at all the people bitching that R* fixed the parts that were broken.

survivals is 3.5k rp and 20k and takes around 20 mins. selling a baller takes less than 5 mins for 9k. rob a store and you made 30k in less than 30 mins and went up a level. If you have a higher level friend coveted takes a few minutes and is 12k and good rp.

I'm not sure the story has a lot of bearing on the discussion at hand.  If you don't like the gameplay, dont play the game.  My point was that if you focus on the gameplay and finding an enjoyable gametype (I LOVE the racing), the money and rank ups will come in time.

If you were just handed millions, supercars, and a megahouse, there wouldn't be a lot of point left.  You're meant to work your way up, and that's how the game is designed, you're right.  It's just obvious it's not happening at a pace that pleases you, and unfortunately, too f*ckin bad.

If you think when heists come out, at rank 16, you'll be able to go jack 40million in one 20 minute mission you're in for a very rude awakening.

If you're not enjoying the journey, the destination will be no better.

This analogy is perfect.

Thanks for the invaluable insights on a level 16 "I don't like playing this game, why can't it just give me millions of dollars so I can buy everything immediately and I can say I'm finished with the game."

This is a pointless thread - nobody particularly cares if you don't like the game.

Personally, if the top heist paid 500k each after a bunch of non paying set up jobs and could be done once per real life week I'd be ecstatic. Probably even 250k.

I was a happy multi-millionaire long before I found out about the glitches. Of course that was pre 1.06 before the goalposts were moved. Those glorious days when winning races actually earned you money and RP...
