I had one for lunch today (a big gyro) and it was pretty solid. I just found myself wondering if you all enjoy this food product or if you have some objection to it? I know it is not that healthy but once in a while it is really good.

Well... in that case. I do like kebabs. In fact they're a lot healthier than hamburgers or hot dogs.

It's not bad. What I liked most of going eat kebab was that one of my friends knew the owner of one of these establishments, so we went all in group and messed up his business. We were like kings *solemn voice*...

I don't think I've ever eaten a whole one. Foods that have a lot of ingredients thrown together kinda gross me out.

Also, f*ck mayonnaise.

My regular food cart is run by a Greek couple so I've been known to pound a few gyros in my time. If I'm hardcore in the mood for lamb I'll go to one of the Halal(sp?) Carts.

Also, f*ck mayonnaise.

Double f*ck mayonnaise,

and sour cream,

and ranch,

and any creamy white thing like these things that you pour on your food. Disgusting.

Doner kebab's look amazing. I never had any type of kebab but I hear nothing but goodness from them.

You're a god damned communist. How can you not like sour cream or ranch or any white creamy condiment?!

It's such a spoiled taste! The scent alone of ranch on someones salad nearby in restaurants makes me want to die.

Someone should pour ranch on you while you sleep. That'll teach you.

I like the occasional chicken kebab but I've never come across a place in the West Country/South West/South Coast of England that I'd trust a doner from.

The best Donner I've ever had outside of Greece or Turkey was from the back of a van, in a lay-by, in about the roughest part of Reading you can imaging. Quite literally beside a school field filled with burnt-out cars, used needles and hooker's corpses.

Love kebabs, don't eat donner kebab though, these kebab shops round here f*ck knows how long that meat's been twirling round with flies landing on it and sh*t. I eat shish kebab. Lamb, with all the salad toppings, and chilli sauce, can't go wrong.

I agree. The best place i had a Donner Kebab was on a rough part called "Sant Idelfons" in the neighboring city of Cornella. The guys prepared the Doner the same way they do it in their country and it was very good. The bar where i bought it has a muslim sign and it was full of muslims (i was the only white guy LOL) But they do like me there because i made them win some extra customers by bringing some friends and stuff. Still watch out at night where you park your car

Not every kebab place is unsanitary. Here many of them are quite clean, for example the greek diner.

Kebabs are absolutely delicious. Gyros aren't too shabby either. I am not familiar with the other food item.

Gyros are okay, I like them, but Kebabs must be removed from the premises.

I love kebab, when I buy some I ask for only meat.

When they fill the bun with meat and then turn around and ask me what I want in them (salad, onions, sauces, cabbage, tomato, cucumber), I tell them: GIEF MOAR MEAT. And they turn around and put some more kebab in it.

Kebab is a wonderful world ready to be explored, and no matter how much you discover, there is always more lurking right around the corner. I'd like go to on a kebab world tour one day. Some Indian people I know make this thing called a shami kabob and it is pretty solid. Iranian people also make good kabobs. So do Pakistanis. And the Afghans have a wonderful kabob called a Chapli kabob.

In hindsight, I should have made this thread inclusive to all types of kabobs rather than just takeway doner/gyro kebabs that we are all so used to.

Please from this moment forward feel free to post about any kabob experience you may have had, be it an Indian, Persian, Greek, Turkish, Afghani, Chinese, Pakistani, Nepali, Bangladeshi, or any other regional kabob type food.

I have heard tale that there is even a kabob type thing in the Netherlands called a frikandel.

f*cking Serbs and your tupac/kebab obsession

OT: They had a lot of gyros, kebab, etc. stands up in DC last time I visited

I can use the same argument about your train obsession.

That Tupac death picture is fake, he's missing some of his tatoos on his hand and torso. "Photoshop" was pretty sh*tty back in 1996.

He flew into Serbia to help with the kebab removal. There's even proof of tupac bing spottd aliev in srbja makin sweet acordion magicj!

OT: WTF is a souvlaki though?
