EDIT — Oh for f*ck's sake. It seems the news were fake. I'm glad, but I just didn't think this kind of sh*t would happen with Horace.



Horace Silver, one of the fathers of hard bop and one of the most significant jazz pianists, has passed away this afternoon, after prolonged illness.


One of the sharpest minds in jazz. His music is highly significant to me because his records were a big gateway into that music.
